How does everyone manage to fall asleep to induce an Astral Projection? I can meditate, relax and concentrate easily enough that my body tingles and numbs. I can even be "inside" my body (like an In-Body Experience) but I just cannot seem to fall asleep when I'm doing this. I've even done it for hours and still no sleep came.

When you get that numbness in your body, have you tried getting up? I don't know if it's just me, but it never feels like my body is actually asleep, very relaxed yes, but not asleep - even when I'm really sleeping. I do have issues with knowing when to get up and have probably missed out on a fair few potential experiences that way, but it's worth trying to get up gently to see what happens. You may have actually projected completely without realizing it.

Edit: Don't know if you've taken the course yet, so just thought I'd mention this: In order to project you normally have to get up on your own, you can sometimes project right out of your body without having to do that part yourself but normally you do actually need to catch it at the right moment and get up out of bed as you would in the physical.

Hi Fish i agree with what Elisabeth says , i will also suggest sloing down a little and relaxing you are probably that close to succes but with the pressure you could be putting on yourself it will make it harder , good luck David .
