No, a negative being cannot do something to you in the astral to result in your death. If you come across one the most they will do is frighten you back to your body, they cannot physically harm you.

Every time we go to sleep, we go into the astral dimension whether we are conscious of it or not. Most of the time we go there dreaming. But regardless, every morning we wake up again safe and sound in our bed.

I wouldn't worry about dying in your sleep – of all the people you know in this world, how many of them have died in their sleep for no apparent reason? All of us go to the astral every single time we go to sleep, logic should tell you that you are safe – as safe as sleeping!

Regarding that article you quoted, the person says they couldn't breathe, but the thing is you don't need to breathe in the astral like you do here - there you can breathe underwater and you can even breathe in outer space! I would imagine the because that person was frightened, they panicked and imagined they couldn't breathe, however really the negative being couldn't physically hurt them.

Strong emotions like fear are the biggest obstacles to going to and staying in the astral, fear will bring us strait back to our body. So don't be frightened, you are very safe from physical harm.

If you do the courses here at Gnosticweb you will eventually learn conjurations to clear negative beings away, but in the meantime you have nothing to worry about.

Can you physically die? Not likely, but remember anything is possible.

- The people that maintain that attitude have never been subjected to such harm, so it doesn't exist as truth to them.
In my unfortunate experience, they can and will harm you physically. So people need to know about that. There is also emotional and mental harm they can inflict as well. Some people are not bothered by those empty beings as much as others are.

If you do all the courses here you will learn a few banishing techniques that can be effective if you do them like you're supposed to.
Samael describes some more in his works. I have always used enochian and kabbalistic ones which probably go beyond the simpler method of gnosticweb's suggested usage.

its not possible fo entities to kill us, because a silver cord connects physical and celestial bodies. the only way for cord to break, is for our physical body to be damaged so badly that u die, or for u to ap, and want with all your desire to die.

I dont wanna scare you but i was attacked by a Entity or demon what ever it was.

 The night before i saw it in my front yard while i was OBE so i went back in my body when it started coming toward me. So the next night a little more cautious, I looked around, and looked outside and as soon as i felt safe it grabbed my arm and pulled me back towards it, it had hit me on my shoulder and then when it came back toward me i hit the "thing" and it just moaned and faded away, I in my heart felt like it was trying to kill me, when i woke up i found 3 very wide scratches going in 3 diffrent directions, all diffrent lengths.............

But, the fact is that they can be beat, so just try a chant or whatever comes to mind. 

I've been projecting for years and I can safely assert that no physical harm will come to you from astral projecting. No negative entity can sever the silver cord.

The mind and egos can do all sorts of things if we believe it strongly enough. In the past I have hypnotised people into believing their hands were glued together and no matter how hard they tried they couldn't pull them apart.

I haven't tried it but it is well known that people under hypnosis can be touched with an ice cube on the arm and when told it was a lit cigarette they swell up at the site as if they were burned.

It is always a good idea to pray for guidance and protection from the Divine and of course with the recitations taught in the courses neg beings are really more of a nuisance than anything. They distract, scare, intimidate and basically try to ruin any conscious astral experience so as to keep us from the spiritual path.

Remember, we are in the astral every night because that is the place where dreams take place and we wake up safe and sound every morning. Really there is nothing to worry about.

The closest thing to being hurt was once (and it hasn't happened again in years, especially after learning some very powerful techniques in the courses to protect myself) I was stabbed in the shoulder while in the Astral and it hurt. Of course I immediately woke up like we all will at the first bit of a scare or jolt . I could still feel a bit of that pain for a few moments but by the time I was fully awake the pain was gone.

I'm not trying to discredit anyone but personally I know of no other student or teacher that has ever experienced anything worse than my experience. More physical harm is going to come to you here then ever will in the astral.
