Hi everybody, i have a question here. Lets say that a person does a practice for concentration in the day. In the night he has a astral experience, he is aware and knows that he is walking around So....are concentration and awareness the same, or is the concentration only a tool to get aware? Excuse my bad english |

Hello,
From my understanding, concentration and awareness both come from the same source which is activated consciousness.
Concentration means directing attention to one thing only.
Awareness means directing attention to all things which can be perceived.
A partially correct analogy can be: concentration is like directing light from a flashlight; while awareness is like turning lights on in the room.
Yes, like you've mentioned, concentration can be a tool to get aware and vice versus.
Activation of consciousness during a day leads to activation of consciousness during a night, thus practicing awareness and concentration during a day can lead to astral experiences.
Best wishes to you!

Many thanks for the reply, Vadim.
Is it correct to say like this(?):
in a concentration you put the focus to one thing, in the awareness you´re not concentrated (and you don´t need to) because you don´t think att all, you just ARE.
Thanks

Sounds like a good explanation for me, thank you!
Words can be confusing though, can say the same words, but mean a different things.
Maybe, you can find these materials useful for your practices of concentration and awareness because with the significant amount of direct experiences it's possible to really feel the difference and to understand it on a more profound level.
AWARENESS
CONCENTRATION
All the best!
