Montreal "Cookie Night Fever"

Last Wednesday, the Montreal Centre organised a cookie night, in which willed students had been challenged to do intuitive cooking. The main objective of this activity was to gather inner self knowledge while doing an active task and to use single-mindedness to achieve a small project without subconscious confusion. As a matter of fact, an inner observation sheet serving as a work matrix for the night was given to them to take notes about the different things happening inside themselves (Fig.1). We (the group) (Fig.2) started by doing a harmonious 30 minutes mantra “O” to warm our hearts up. Then Mélanie explained about the various ingredients that were offered (Fig.3) and the possible “cookie outcomes” that these latter involved. Martin carried on with a brief talk about how to use intuition and single-mindedness while cooking (Fig 4). He also exhibited technically what could be made by using only 6 ingredients, and made 100% rye - whole wheat chocolate bread.

Soon after, students started with their own creative skills and began to mix ingredients in order to achieve cookies while watching inside like sentries (Fig.5). Each of them used a different strategy, but everyone already had a very clear idea of what they wanted as a final result. As a matter of fact, the night was a complete success with the gathering of new inner personal knowledge (Fig 6) and great cooking skills. It was impressive to see the attractiveness and the quality of each one of these cookies representing the personality of each one of these students (Fig7). That was the cookie night fever.

Wow, guys, what a terrific idea. It is true that with a dedicated plan any activity can turn into a meaningful one.

Cookies look very tasty!

All the best to everyone in Montreal : )

The chart looks like a really useful idea. Tasty-looking cookies too.

Thanks guys for your

Thanks guys for your comments!

It was a very interresting activity to discover about ourselves and also to let the creativity showed up!

Effectively, the chart was a good tool, helping everyone for the self-remembrance and taking the opportunity to investigate deeper in all inner centers... such as fear, excitement, sensations, gestures, etc.

The "food aspect" is a very complex topic which is sometime (and unfortunately) underestimated concerning internal knowledge. In every day life, we eat 3 meals per day (in general)... But the impact of the subconscious elements related to this, doesn't stop there: we can also "taste" them as subtle manifestations all day long! :)

Please feel free to use this chart to investigate one's inner aspects!

Regards,
Mélanie

wow! that is a great activity and a very interesting way of bringing gnosis into life. did you use recipes or sense your way through it?

I am already quaking at the thought of baking without instructions!

Dear Ahona, To answer your

Dear Ahona,

To answer your question, we didn't use any recipes at all!
This was another aspect of the exercise... We prepared ourselves with a marvellous practice of "O" mantra to activate the intuition, but this is not a prerequisite...

We had to "feel" the dought... eliminate the fear of "failling" our cookies, the pride of showing the better ones, imagining someone saying bad comments on them... In fact: being detached!

It's a very good exercise to take action, being more confident in our capacities and also learning from it ( even if the mixture wasn't "perfect"). With my own experience, I can say that trying to reach the "perfection" is a major obstacle in achieving a goal... When we want to reach it, we are already out of track! :)

Let me know how was your experience!

All the best,

Mélanie

Melanie, thank you for that

Melanie, thank you for that explanation.

The fear of failure, of being less than perfect or of doing things wrong stops me a lot, not just with baking and cooking, but with art, writing and the work.

It is something that I will be exploring over the next few weeks and will let you know how I go with it!
Cheers

Well, I had a baking by

Well, I had a baking by intuition success..I was making chocolate malter whopper drops and was about to put the butter in and then paused, because something didn't feel quite right about the amount of butter. I googled american tablespoons in grams and realised I was using 1 tbsp = 20 gram instead of 1 tbsp = 15 gram.
That extra 60 gm of butter I almost put in would have killed my cookies, so intuition saves the day!
