Hi everyone. I am curious. Has anyone experienced having more lucid dreams or finds it easier to
astral project by living in the present moment and perhaps being reasonably happy as well?

Thanks Sally.

My answer is yes, however, it also makes awareness of the present moment more elusive for me. The harder I try to fight for it, the further away it moves.

Therefore, astral projecting has become harder regarding the present moment but it always was hard for me to begin with.

I also think that people confuse lucid dreams with astral experiences and when you actually achieve a real astral projection, the present moment or the awareness is always there to me, no effort is needed at all. But, awakening from a dream into the astral usually ends up with me falling into a dream again. I do not like that approach.

Everything there is way more lucid, for me, than regular life here. So awareness in the day really has no bearing on my astral success.
It seems backwards to me. I can carry the memory of the lucidity of the astral into the daily life rather than try to use experience from the day and apply it to the astral.

Hi Sally,

Have experienced it.
Astral projection and living in a present moment both relate to activation of consciousness.

With awareness attention is spread everywhere, in the whole range of perception; while with concentration, it is directed to one object only.

Spiritual exercises can create some sort of "psychological inertia"(momentum), so after being aware for sufficient amount of time, it's possible to generate this sort of inertia and to transfer it to awareness of the astral plane.

Best wishes,

Vadim

Hello Sally,

From my personal experience and that I have gleaned from talking to other Gnostics practicing and utilizing being in the present moment is a significantly effective element in reference to conscious astral experience.
This is not to say that being in the present moment should be utilized instead of other practices but is a valuable contributer in harmony with the other practices taught on this site.
Happiness is an interesting variable and one I can't say I have looked into much. However, there is a feeling that is quite spiritual when one is in the moment and feelings of utter peace, love and joy can permeate the senses and can be equated to a state of supreme happiness.

All the best with your practices,
Adam.

Hi Sally,

I would agree with that, for example when I compare days where I have been stressed at work and completly identified with what I am doing there to the days I have off where I am calmly trying to be aware in the present moment I have had much better success on those days.

How about yourself?

All the best

Sally,

Yes! Having astral experienses is very liberating for me and gives me great impetus to work harder on my awareness during the day.

Really being aware in the present  monment bring a feeling of contentment and bliss. Unfortunately it is difficult to keep. Doing the death of the ego has to accompany being aware in the moment in order to die to it and reduce the size of the ego, which brings lasting bliss.

The more consiousness is freed from the ego the more happieness and bliss is experienced. It does only come with real sacrifice and effort, of course..

 Kind Regards
