Hi everyone Awesome site, really glad I found it! I am going to sign up for the self discovery class which starts in May and the OBE workshop in June. I've had a few experiences, but only one intense one as after that it scared me so much I learned to be able to stop myself getting into that state. I always put it down to just sleep paralysis but after reading some of the posts I'm not so sure. If anyone could shed some light on this I'd really really appreciate it :) I was in bed, resting, trying to get to sleep when I felt a weird sensation.....unbelievably relaxed, a sensation of waves of energy moving over my body almost and tingling everywhere. That was quite pleasant and I wasn't really alarmed as I was very sleepy and very relaxed. Then I started to hear a weird noise...like a radio station in between stations and started to panic! I wanted to get up but I couldn't move. I don't know exactly what happened then...maybe I fell asleep, I don’t know and don't remember but I woke up...or so I thought. This is when things got terrifying for me! I got out of bed and just felt strange, I walked out of my bedroom and started to go down the stairs when I saw a little boy at the bottom of the stairs with red glowing eyes! I was petrified and then got the paralyzed sensation and realized that I was not awake. I desperately tried to wake up but I couldn't and this boy was still there. Eventually I did wake up, get out of bed and to cut a long story short experienced more or less the same thing....seeing scary things, being petrified and realizing that I was not awake. This happened at least 5 times that night...Me trying to wake up, thinking I was awake...only to realize that I wasn't and to end up going through the same terrifying type of thing again. It was exhausting!!!I would love to not be afraid. I start to experience the initial stages of vibrations and so on still very frequently when I'm trying to go to sleep but because of that awful experience I always panic and don't let things get further. Even trying to stop my body getting to the paralyzed stage is VERY hard work and requires a lot of concentration. Once I break out of it I have to get up for a while, splash my face with water and watch some tv or it will just keep coming on. I think my biggest fear is not being able to get out of it. If I knew how I could wake up easier, I would perhaps explore further ……Does anyone have any idea what this was? Was it just an unpleasant lucid experience? Astral? Any info would be appreciated :) . Thanks!

Hey Michelle,
Wellcome to the site. It seems to me that experiences you mentioned are definetly astral conscious experience. It is really neat that you can experience sensations prior to leaving body so frequently. Experience you mentioned does seems scary.
The boy you saw is very likely a negative entity, since it is said that they sometimes have red eyes. In astral there are both negative and positive being but it is important to remember that negative beings cannot harm you physically, they can only scare you and prevent you from exploring astral. It is also not uncommon what you mentioned about "false awakening". Next time if you will have any doubt if you are really awake in physical, pull your finger. If you are in astral it will stretch.
Also, WIth time you will learn how to break sleep paralysis state at will. So for example if you will feel uncomftorable you can break the state and not going further.
However, you can learn so much in astral, its really worthed to overcome that fear. Once overcomed, possibilities are basicly endless :)
Good luck

hello Michelle,
Besides what Stanovnik mentioned, you can try the conjurations against negative entities. It is taught in the course of astral travel and dreams, also you can try the book of VM Belzebuub.
Further can try to understand fear in daily life, as it is a state of mind.
goodluck,
Peter

Hi Michelle, welcome!
You've been given good advice and replies in the responses to your post.
We are not used to experiencing all the weird phenomena that occurs during astral projection and it can be scarry at first.
What I've come to know in my own experience is that the subconscious likes to place things in front of me whether they may actually be there or not.
Only by opening up more awareness in daily life, I can discern things easier when asleep or out and about in the astral.
Then there's cases where actual negative beings try to stop or scare us. There's some ways to deal with them that are taught here but don't always work for me. What seems to work best for me is to fight back and they get scared and leave or just ignore them.
So basically don't let anything scare you, especially the obstacles you place in your way on your own.
There's nothing to be scared of except what you identify with as "scarry."
I just think it's important to express my experience this way because alot of people get turned off to astral projection because of their first experiences being interpreted as negative. It's not at all and is a wonderful tool if you use it right.

Hi Michelle,
That part about "radio station" noise is very interesting...
I had quite a few of such experiences when I'm lying down in my bed and just tuning into what seems to be radio stations where people are talking etc. I wasn't aware that I was in the astral at those times though. Also I am not sure if those are indeed radio stations that broadcast here on Earth, although I seemed to recognize the languages etc.

The negative entities will feed off your fear. Work on eliminating fear while you are awake. Also if you come across negative entities, do not respond with fear, dissolve any emotion or feeling you have, do the conjurations and generally they will stop appearing. They will get bored with you because you are not reacting to them.
Good preparation in terms of relaxation, concentration, visualisation before you go to sleep can greatly help the process of projection.
I love the ability to project and be lucid in dreams. Its an amazing part of life and dreams. I remember as a child there was something chasing me in a nightmare. A friend told me next time it chased me, instead of running, to turn around and face it, which I did and I never had the nightmare again. I try to "face" my fears whether asleep or awake and both these techniques help with my lucidity.
some times if I need to wake up, I pinch my finger by prodding my fingernail into my thumb. This instantly wakes me up.
All the best

Nice to read this Michelle, sounds like you had an experience of being in the astral plane.
My best recommendation is to go for astral course when you sign up.
Also in the meantime :
Next time before going to bed remind yourself that you will jump and try to fly.
This is an amazing thing that can happen, a way to realise that you are in astral.
One cant fly in physical plane!
I never had any astral experiences until I did the course here. But its so nice that you are already getting these experiences. Happy for you.
Wishes for your courses/sign up.
Keep in touch,
Juliana
