Ok, this is an old dream but it was so cool I thought I would try and get some insight on it. I cant ice skate well. I can do the basic strides and not look dumb but I cant stop, cut corners well on my left turns etc. Im a beginner, kids skate circles around me in shinny hockey haha. Anyways, I had a dream in which I found myself skating on a rink, I was able to exectute everything perfectly. PERFECTLY!! I was doing back skating like a hockey player, backwards crossovers, sidesteps fronward crossovers it was amazing. I was fully lucid in the dream, and it was like I knew how to skate naturally. It was such an amazing feeling just pivoting and turning like a figure skater/hockey player. I cant decribe how odd this felt, because there I was the day before trying to do crossovers and falling etc, and here I was in this dream doing everything. Then I woke up, and sure enough the next time I went to skate I still wasnt any better. I felt as if there were 2 possibilities to this: I was a good skater in my past life, or I somehow tapped into the universal knowledge. I think our potential is endless though anyways in our soul body, but im still curious as to where this knowledge of movement came from and if I can somehow tap into it from my physical body. |

Hi SoulStride,
That's pretty funny. I have had similar dreams in the past although not ice skating. When things like that happen to me it's a good opportunity to try and wake up in them, if I realize it is a dream.
I realize that in my own psyche, things like that are exprienced because of some aspiration to achieve something to a greater degree. In your case it could represent something else.
Dreams really do tell us alot and I always dismissed them as rubbish that the brain expunges at the end of the day but until I started experiencing awareness in them and actually had to pay attention to what was going on or being taught rather than passing them off as nonsense just because they don't always fit into my own sphere of logic.
Do you write your dreams down? I like to, even if I can't make sense out of some of them.

Hey Apakhana, thanks for the reply.
I was aspiring to learn how to skate at the time so it makes sense what you say. It just was wierd that I already knew in my mind how to do it, but couldnt convert it physically.
Anyways, I dont write dreams down, I have about 3 or four times, I can never seem to make a consistent effort to do so, mostly because of school and I wake up at the very last minute to gain the most sleep :). I think I am going to keep my laptop on and just flip it open in the mornings and write them down, because I am pretty good at dream recall, almost every morning I remember the dream its just the next day that you forget.
I havnt been having much lucid dreams though, the one I just mentioned happened 2 or 3 months ago. I woke up in a dream about a month ago with the vibrations and all(which used to happen all the time) now I never seem to have any experiences. It doesnt make sense since I am more devoted spiritually right now than I have ever been. I shall keep it up, and I think that a dream journal will really pay off giving me more experiences.
btw, If anyone knows how I can ice-skate like sydney crosby in my dreams please let me know lol.

Hi Soulstride
To keep a dream diary is one of the techniques to improve your dream remembrance, as taught in the OBE and dreams course book, I have found that a dream diary works really well for me. You also get a better overview of your dreams as you can easily forget them some time after.
Another thing is that dream experiences are a very personal thing, especially those who stand out in some way, I told some in the past and that was followed by a time without having any. Those dreams are given by spiritual beings or higher aspects of yourself, like your divine parents. When you don't know the meaning of your dreams you can ask your divine parents to explain it to you the next time you go asleep. Many things in the dreams happen due to the circumstances in the daily life, and then they make sense only to the dreamer anyway, as the people here don't know about it.
The OBE and dreams book has a dream symbol guide with which you can get a better overview about the meaning of your dreams.
Good luck with your dreams
