Hello, my name is Bridey. I have just signed up for a self discovery course but the next one doesn't start until May 18. Basically, for the last three years I have been a breeding machine, a mother and a wife, but I don't really know who I am underneath my social label. I feel like I am ready to find out, considering that I have to live with myself for the rest of my life.  It's not like I am depressed, I am actually really happy with my life, I just want to get the most out of every day and be the best me ever. I want to discover the god within and be a good role model for my two boys. I just don't really know where to start. Anyone got any bright ideas for me???

Hi there!

Welcom then, the self-discovery course is great. That's great you are happy and feel ready to find out more about yourself and also that you realize God is within, not something found externally.

The best way to start is with a single step.

As you'll find alot of good info in the course, don't believe anything OR doubt anything.
Learn to be aware from moment to moment and you'll come to KNOW what is truth. Follow what the course says and there's no reason you shouldn't achieve success.

There's a book that goes along with the self-discovery course and although you don't need it, you'd for sure get tons out of it.

Hi Bridey,

Sounds like good reasons to me :)

The book Apakhana mentions is called "The Peace of the Spirit Within." It complements the course but is not necessary.

I recommend browsing about the author's website at www.belzebuub.com. Particularly I enjoy the simplicity and applicability of his Talks in Quebec 2004, over on the left-hand side.

Also his previous internet talks are on there under the audio section, there is one there on "Introduction to Gnosis."

Good luck when the courses start and best wishes all around,
Jim B.

Welcome Bridey :)
It is a long way, to find who you truly are, but you have good company whilst walking that path! Looking forward to getting to know you better.
