The fact that all of us who have discovered these sites indicate that no doubt, that we are on a path to spiritual fullfillment? Since I was very young I was interested in making things out of clay and then plastercine followed by artistic painting and drawing. All of these are a form of higher thought through creativity. Since those days I've pursued in helping or wanting to help people in fitness and my quest for knowledge has lead me to sites like these. Are these mear coincidences, or is there some kind or guidence within me helping me through my life? As there those who are might reincarnated, potentially, to come back and better themselves. As with myself, and so many who are using this site, have we been given this oppourtunity to achieve higher consciousness status? Or is it just simply luck that we happen to stumble across spiritual phenomena? If the reincarnation aspect is true then I feel sorry for those who haven't found there paths yet and who are dismissive in general public to higher fullfillment. |

Hello Andrei,
Its a strange thing what you mention about the spiritual path and who wants to go after it. There is an element to all of us that I guess you could say is the pure person, or essence. This Being is who we truly are but unfortunately it's a part we do not know very well. It's this part within that yearns for the work and that pushes us to seek truth and experience.
From what I have seen and heard not many people seek the spiritual work. But for those that do situations arise that allow those people to find the Teachings or to come across guidance of some sort that will lead them in the right direction. This can be seen in many stories and accounts of people that have come across this site, centers and materials, who have taken the spiritual work up and are teachings it to today all around the world.
The more we seek the work and apply efforts in living it the more we gain an insight into that part within that has pushed us to go after spiritual rather then material things. The more this relationship is strengthened, the more we see, and that 'mysterious veil in front of our eyes' begins to lift and what really is becomes increasingly known. Who we are, where we have been, life, The Work, all start to yield information beyond what we ever thought to be true, or even possible.
All the best with your work Andrei,
Adam.

It's interesting you bring this up. The question of what motivates us. From what I can see, there are all sorts of things that cause us to be where we are, do the things we do. Some of them are plain, but some are hidden. Often times we end up being wolves in sheep's clothing without knowing it. I know that in myself this is true. Even these dark hidden motives come to take on a "spiritual" aspect, and providing this spiritual "strength" but it's all just grasping at self-glorification, self-fulfillment, fear of death, fear of the Abyss, etc. I end up being like the Pharisee in the parable Jeshua gives us of the Pharisee and the publican:
Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, 'God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
'I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.'
And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, 'God be merciful to me a sinner.'
I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

To ask is to learn, to learn is to know, thus knoweledge is the ultimate goal!
Thankyou both for the comments. I've been interested in spirituality to the point that I may one day become a healer in chi, reiki or prana, whatever the many terms used as I find it very beneficial. As far as spiritual energy is to me it is the true dark energy that resides within all of us and it truely is unknown. It's abilities to heal far more than this useless physical matter of a body we have been given is unpresidented.

For whateer reason, your post made me remember a passage from The Lost Keys of Freemasonry that describe man's aspiring towards his divinity through Great Work and mirror somewhat to your thread if I understand the context correctly.

..."Truth is not lost, yet it must be sought for and found. Reality is ever-present - dimensionless yet all-prevailing. Man - creature of attitudes and desires, and servant of impressions and opinions - cannot, with the wavering unbalance of an untutored mind, learn to
know that which he himself does not possess.
As man attains a quality, he discovers that quality, and recognizes about him the thing newborn within himself.
Man is born with eyes, yet only after long years of sorrow does he learn to see clearl y and in harmony with the Plan.
He is born with senses, but only after long experience and fruitless strivings does he bring these senses to the temple and lays them as offerings upon the altar of the great Father, who alone does all things well and with understanding.
Man is, in truth, born in the sin of ignorance, but with a capacity for understanding. He has a mind capable of wisdom, a heart capable of feeling, and a hand strong for the great work in life - truing the rough ashlar into the perfect stone.
What more can any creature ask than the opportunity to prove the thing he is, the dream that inspires him, the vision that leads himon? We have no right to ask for wisdom.
In whose name do we beg for understanding?
By what authority do we demand happiness?
None of these things is the birthright of any creature; yet all may have them, if they will cultivate within themselves the thing that they desire.
There is no need of asking, nor does any Deity bow down to give man these things that he desires. Man is given by Nature, a gift, and that gift is the privilege of labor. Through (spiritual) labor he learns all things." ...

Hi Andrei,
It's a question that we all ask isn't it. Why am I here? What am I supposed to do with my life?
It seems to me that every one of us is on a journey - a journey back to where we came from originally. To rejoin the divine. I think every one of us is born with a deep sense of knowing this, but not necessarily understanding how to achieve it. One thing though is for certain - we will not be able to achieve this with the darkness inside us that we see when we look closely ... and often it doesn't even need to be a CLOSE look :-(
So I think it's vitally important to recognise those dark elements within, and look for ways to remove them. Our job is to recognise them, understand them - along with the consequences they bring to our lives - and then plead with the divine for their removal.
In this way, step by step, we are heading back in the direction we came from. The direction that within us we know we need to go. As we take these steps, the divine will open our path further to us. We will find abilities to help us, and others on that path.
The important thing is to keep heading "home" with intent, and importantly action. Intent has no meaning if it's not followed up by action - something I keep trying to point out to my kids :-)
All the strength Andrei, to search for your path, find it, and then follow it step by step, with perseverance and prayer.
Regards,
Vicki

I wish I had seen this post before I posted a similar question in the general forum.
You are all assuming that people know to seek the spiritual and just choose not too. Life is not that luxurious.
Some lives are terminated too young, some lives are lived in limited mental capacity, some human lives are lived deep in a jungle where they live like animals and some people are never exposed to religion or spiritual teachings. Some are in a situation where it is beaten into them from childhood that there is nothing but the physical...my father was one of those.
Not all people can ask why am I here and what is my purpose. There's more to it than just not choosing to follow a spiritual path.

That is a very good point Dusty,
There is a large element of dharmic influence to allow all of us to have the luxury of pursuing spiritual things. Especially the privilege of finding the Teachings here.
It is a good thing to be aware of as when we become complacent with such things we can tend not to value them anymore.
Spirituality and the Work in general needs to be valued to be done effectivey from my limited experience.
All the best and strength to all,
Adam.

HI Adam,
Thanks for your reply. That still does not make sense to me. If you committed such karmic crimes as to come back in a life where you cannot follow the path, then how can you ever earn dharma? It seems in that type of life, you could not earn karma or dharma. It's just stagnant and a waste as far as you following the path.

Hi Dusty,
I have read in the Bible something like there was a very poor woman who gave just one coin, but Jesus said to his disciples that this is a greatest sacrifice because that's all what she has...
I guess, dharma is earned in terms of "what we can give with what we have at the stage where we are"...
It seems that only a few can really learn with properly done spiritual work, but for majority some sort of learning comes only with suffering and pain.
All the best!

Hi Vadim,
That makes sense about earning in terms of what we can give. But, that's not what is taught here. What's taught here is that there is only one way (the three keys) that you can get off the wheel. And, that has do be done with consciousness.
When spiritual work is properly done, there is suffering and pain because of what you are letting go of. The same for people who are not consciously doing spiritual work. We're all growing and affecting other people spiritually, whether it is conscious or not.
