Melbourne Center Easter Retreat - Generating Spiritual Strength!
Over the Easter long weekend a large group of us here in Melbourne held a retreat to investigate how we could develop spiritual strength. Specifically, we wanted to investigate what it took to develop and conserve it to help us apply consistent efforts during the day with awareness and self observation. We also explored our potential in applying ‘bursts of power’ to overcome any big obstacles we may face.

A fairly rigorous daily practice schedule was set, which included an early morning meditation practice, yoga asanas, mantras, awareness walks, concentration practices, astral projection, retrospection and mediation on egos. During the nights wake-ups were also held so we could have another practice of getting into the astral.

We investigated with these practices what it took in order to generate a strength within ourselves, what we had to do within each practice. Then, during breaks for meals and free-time, we had a chance to investigate how we conserved and used that strength for the spiritual work or how we just threw it away and let it go to waste by giving in to egos. At the end of the day we could then go about investigating the egos that took us away and sapped the strength that we had managed to build.

The amount of strength that the group created to take back into routine life was very noticeable.

Thanks to all those who attended and helped to create such an awesome retreat!

Nice blog and nice
Nice blog and nice pictures.
It's good to see how you guys manage to generate such strength and keep overcoming obstacles. Unfortunally I’m not living near a centre, so its most of the time online for me. But due to these blogs, gnosis becomes more alive and a bit closer to home.

That's awsome!
I love the pictures. As I read the headings, it clearly felt like you guys did manage to generate some spiritual strength. What a wonderful goal to learn how to manage and use spiritual energy.
I wish I was there, but I am inspired to do this now.

It was a really good
It was a really good retreat, and I definitely learned some things about how I can approach practices better, and it's helped me to push forwards over obstacles more easily since we got back from the retreat I think.
I especially like trying to set an internal standard, and then seeing what adds to that state and builds on it, and what subtracts from that state and changes it, and what it takes to keep up the work and not lose learning experiences.
Thanks for posting about it Trent, it was a great weekend!
Wish can be there! Hopefully
Wish can be there!
Hopefully I'll learn teleportation one day.
Looks like you had an amazing learning opportunity to build up some spiritual muscles!
Even from this little I can see, I really liked it.
Wonderful nature, and this whole idea about devoting some time to generate internal strength, "out-bursts of power" in critical moments, and then retrospections later, all this intelligent approach to understand better personal obstacles, etc., looks very appealing to me.
Thanks for posting, Trent, good stuff.
Let me see, what can I do today to generate some spiritual strength...
Sounds like a very powerful
Sounds like a very powerful mini retreat. With all those activities you mentioned, there was no time to waste. And that is an awsome, beautiful place to keep your consciousness activated.
