Hi Chiciebill,
Certainly, it should be possible.
When a practitioner gets out of physical body, it's possible to see, hear, smell, etc., very similar to the physical.
Regarding visitors, I wonder also how Angels and Divine Beings perceive most of us.
I think they can smell even negativity which is within, in some way.

When you are out of body you are in fact a spirit. The average normal deceased spirit would actually not know that you have a physical body unless he knows you/about you.
Those of a higher development than the average spirit, in other words higher beings etc which has access to much higher senses, would of course know you have one, as well as know many other things about you that not even you know of.
A lot of beings would be able to detect the nature of your energies, by looking into your eyes, using clairvoyance and other things. I cannot comment on how much the average spirit can see and know in regards to your energies. But the average spirit I think are able to detect some fundamentals of your nature and intentions through the eyes... and again the more developed a being is, the more they can see and know.
A few cents...
