Does AP REALLY occur in other dimensions, or is it in our minds?

it is absolutely 100% in other dimensions.

I also believe that it is multi-dimensional. Science even acknowledges that people who have OBE's are definitely outside of their bodies, although science can only go so far and cannot acknowledge all the other things that occur in the Astral Plane.

However, I would still be pleased to see more evidence for it as this will confirm and re-confirm my faith in AP and possibly Gnosis.

I suppose on of the most fool-proof ways to do this is to simply learn to AP. Feeling your body vibrate, listening to the sounds of another dimension, seeing through your eye-lids, watching yourself sleep and wandering your house is more than enough confirmation that you really are outside of your body.

from what i know, im not all that sure positive, that science can prove much of the matter, because its not physical, and thats what science is about, yeah? proving the physical?

Apparently, they can confirm that the brain patterns of those who are watching a video feed of themselves is similar to that of those who claim to experience OBE's.

I honestly believe that people should consider that science, although the most trusted form of knowledge, isn't the ONLY form of knowledge and they shouldn't try to find so much scientific reasoning behind spiritual matters before they decide to wholeheartedly drop or start anew with something inside the spiritual realm.

You are saying you don't believe it and that's perfect. That's the first step. Believing is not knowing. If you accept any belief, then you will never know anything past it.

What is important is to not have any doubt either. Doubt is belief too, it is accepting the opposite as truth. Both are limiting.

I didn't beleive it either until I did it, so now I know.

Don't beleive me when I tell you it's real, it will still reamain a belief until you experience it yourself, then it becomes a known truth.

When you eventually do get into the astral consciously, there is absolutely no mistaking it for anything else than real.
This state of being is even more lucid and clear than normal waking life.

If you are looking for documented scientiffic "proof," there have been experiments and studies on it you can find documented under Carrington and Muldoon's experiements. But it's just words on paper, not your own experience.

Work hard to get to the astral yourself and see! Even a brief first time is still extremely rewarding itself.

I like how Apakhana explained it, for me too it seems that doubt and belief are two sides of the same coin.

From belief to doubt there is just a one step to take, and there is another saying: those who are not able to become artists, become critics of art.
Fortunately, of course it's not necessarily true, actually, the best ctitics should be more or less experienced artists, as well.

Anyway, I agree that getting out-of-bodies experiences personally, can solve many questions about them, although, it would bring new questions!

Another angle to look at it, can be from practical standpoint, whether OBEs happen in the 5th dimension or in the mind, in any case, there is so much to learn from it.
Many start from looking at it practically and later, with more experiences and advancement with internal work, ameliorate their understanding and change perspective.

Astral projection happens in the other dimension, but you process it through portals in your mind.

Why that is hard for people to understand, i do not know. The computer in front of you exists in time/space continuum, but you process it through your eyesight, optic nerve, and brain cells.

Same with the astral. It's not complicated to understand.
