Hiking at Muir Woods

The five of us decided to go hiking this past weekend, so i thought I would share some pictures with you guys. We travled to Muir woods in Mill Valley just north of San Francisco. This is an ancient redwood forest that was bought and perserved from logging around the turn of the century. The trees here can live up to 2000 years old and grow up to 35 stories high. Ideal for awarness walks. =)

Hey Rob,

Such a great place for awareness walks!

And that diagram on the tree is really humbling...countries gain and lose power, numerous human generations with all our concerns pass by with almost no track left...while redwood tree just keeps growing upwards.

Thanks for the pictures.

Hey - what's that Canadian guy with the beard doing down there...
and moreover, when did he become a tree-hugger? :-)

Looks great Rob. Jenny and I hope to join you all in California at the upcoming USA Retreat.

I had to try "tree-hugging"

I had to try "tree-hugging" too. I don't usually hug trees but I figured I'd give it a go this time around....
