I have had more then a few OBE instances. They are short in duration, I seam to loose control due to one thing or another
( like starting to conjure from fear that I will be hurt, when “whatever they are” show up . They do not seem to friendly either.
Or feeling sexually and forgetting all my well practiced restraints, or getting upset about some stupid thing like not being
able to pass the roof). I am able to walk out of my body as I realize I am sleeping, not in the dream, but realize my body
must be asleep and it is time to get out now before I will follow my body to sleep as well. I can not control it yet, it just
happens some times, when I least expect it… That is about me.
Now my question is for the experienced ones: Gurus, why do you not describe your experiences and tell us newbies how
you do it from the beginning to the reentry (at will I hope :) ). Do not be shy and tell us in detail. I believe it will help great
many people out there. Do not hold back, if you are honest, I know it will help me.

Hello Blogalot,
I think that there are good reasons why people who are able to project much are not talking about it. First of all the experiences that you get in the astral and things you learn there are for you only because you have gained them where others who didn't might not value it and might not even understand it. Also everything that you need has been give to us in the courses which were written by a person who is in best position to teach students about astral projections as he posses vast amount of experiential knowledge to draw from. And lastly I think it is up to each one of us to really investigate how the practices work and how to improve them. It is by practicing that we learn the most.
With regards to your experiences the best thing you can do is to try to practice awareness during the day as much as you can, Just keep coming back to present moment again and again. I set my alarm to go of every so often to remind me to be aware and also do small practices whenever you can to help yourself to get out of the mind and get grounded. This should help you to have clearer and longer experiences at night.
Good luck,
Stas

Hello Stas, you are correct, I do not do enough of that awareness thingy.I will go back to taking those short walks near nature ( as time allows). Thank you.

Hi Blogalot and welcome!
I think that Stas gave you a very good advice about practising awareness. Awareness and concentration is what makes a difference between out-of body experiences and regular sleep.
Walks in nature can be very useful to get the "taste of being aware" with less amount of distractions than in the city.
Another useful tip can be to practise concentration on whatever we do during a day, so taking an example of driving, it means, giving the whole focus of attention to driving only. With some activities it can be more challenging than with others.
Also, there are some personal accounts of out-of -body experiences here.

You must bypass your body.
