I finally got completely and totally out of body! It was wild.

Tonight I was chatting with a friend, and we decided to meet in the astral at 3 am, half jokingly, but I really wanted to.

So, when I went to bed I went through a few energy exercises, half heartedly, as I was tired. I pictured my friend in my mind and used the La Ra S mantra that I learned in my astral class. Not long after, I fell asleep.

I awoke at 2:55 am to use the rest room and almost went right back to sleep, but remembered I wanted to meet my friend at 3 am. I was tired, but thought what the heck, I'll try. I was so relaxed I skipped any relaxation exercises, did another half hearted attempt at energy raising, pictured my friend, then used the La Ra S mantra again.

I don't know how long I internally said the mantra. The image of my friend kept changing from seeing him in one place then another, etc, but it was always there. Suddenly I felt an energy rush, not like the vibrations I usually get, but a sudden all body feel of intense energy. Hard to explain. All of a sudden I felt myself come out of my body, straighten upright and head right for up the corner ceiling of my bedroom. I had vision right away but it was dark but not as dark as I remembered. The floating feeling was such a neat sensation!

I felt a little surge of fear as I saw the ceiling come flying at me, and reminded myself to calm down, that it was ok. I went part way through the ceiling, then stopped and came back down a little. I turned and saw myself in bed. Strangely my bed covers were blue (like my old bedspread) not the red quilt it is now. I didn't see my dog sleeping there either, but I did see me, though I was on my side not my back.

Slowly I came down to the floor and realized I could walk. I headed for my bedroom door, noticing heaviness in my legs. As I entered the hallway, everything looked fuzzy. I thought Clarity Now! My vision cleared, though it was still night. So, I said Light Now! It didn't seem to do anything, and I decided I could see well enough anyway.

I noticed white lines on my floor as though someone had tp'd my hallway. I realized sometimes the astral is different, so I ignored it and headed for my front door. I don't recall going through the door. I was just suddenly outside and it looked like twilight out. (maybe that light command did work) Kids were playing in the street.

I remembered my friend, and jumped off the porch (which was different from my IP one) with the intent to fly. I thudded to the ground. I tried again, and again I couldn't seem to fly. One of the kids looked at me, and I felt kinda stupid, but I was sure I was in the astral not the physical.

Suddenly I felt awareness IP opening up as my awareness outside faded. This change of focus of awareness felt very dreamlike, though up to that point I felt very awake and aware. Yet, right away I noticed I began to doubt my experience. I pushed those thoughts aside, recalling that feeling of leaving my body and walking down the hallway. It was soooooo cool!

I wrote down my experience right away, then laid down to try again. No way. I can't even get back to sleep from the excitement.

It was a short experience, and I never made it to my friend but oh so cool!

Wonderful to hear Dana! CONGRATS!

That's great that you were able to get into the astral consciously and that you persisted despite tiredness with the practice.

I have had that same trouble with flying before, for me it was the mind interfering as I wasn't completely conscious.

All the best with many more experiences!

Yeah!! for you!!! Thanks a great first experience. It took me about 4 or 5 before I could even leave my bedroom, let alone my house.

What is IP, as in this sentence: Suddenly I felt awareness IP opening up as my awareness outside faded.

I still can't fly too good either. I did twice. Once with a board of somekind I got from somewhere and once when I flapped my arms. I never could get too much height though.

Hi Dusty,

IP is in person. So I became aware both in person on the bed and in the astral outside simultaneously, then I lost the awareness in the astral and was totally in my body. I never felt myself move back into my body like I did when I had sat up.

The class I'm taking now is Self-Discovery.

Oh, thanks for the clarification. I knew you were in Self Discovery...duh, I had just answered one of your posts. I was really hot with awareness yesterday, but today is really lacking. I feel so tired.

Well done, Dana. That's really neat. I've been following your comments in the OBE course and am really happy that you've had this success.

See you around in Self Discovery

yeah.
you would have more then likely stayed there longer, iff you wernt so tired.

make sure you go have good nights sleep, to power up not only you physical body, but your astral body.

really good experiance.
