Hi

I'm quite new to the site and the concept of astral projection. Ive read the book Astral Travel and Dreams but have not taken any courses on this website yet. I have been practicing concentration and awareness for a few weeks and 3 nights ago I had an amazing experience when I suddenly "woke up" within a dream.

When I became aware that I was in the astral I straight away tried to focus on my surroundings. I was outdoors in a place I didnt recognise at night. I touched the ground and it looked and felt real. I was amazed at how clear and vivid everything around me was but with an "otherworldly" feel to it. I jumped and I could fly, although as I ascended I kind of lost momentum and kept floating back to the ground (not sure if this is normal), I passed through walls and pulled my finger and it stretched. Then I looked up to the stars and asked my Divine Parents to teach me something , this is when it got weird...

I noticed that a couple of men had moved close to me , one was mumbling stuff. When I listened it was vague and confusing and didn't seem to mean much. Another man was trying to get me to drink something. Both were avoiding eye contact. A passer by stopped and looked suspiciously at the men. I quickly realised that these were negative entities trying to trick me. I used the conjuration of Jupiter with strength and confidence on one of the entities and was amazed at how effective it was. As soon as I started he was paralized and looked really ill. When I finished he kind of turned to dust and I jumped and flew away. I then decided I had seen enough and instantly woke up in bed with an "Oh my God!" feeling.

All in all this was a positive experience. I've never experienced anything like it before and I know for a fact that this place was real and I was there as I am here now. I learned that I could fly and effectively used a conjuration on a negative entity. It has however left me feeling overwhelmed. I suppose its because I now know that reality is not as straightforward as I thought - this was rock solid confirmation for me that the astral plain is real. The experience was so vivid and unlike a normal dream that I just cant stop thinking about it. The other issues I have are with the negative entities and how quickly they came to me the moment I sought spiritual development in the Astral. Ive read that negs can't harm us but what would have happened if I had drunk what it was I was offered? Surely they had a purpose in trying to trick me into taking it? And my bigger issue at the moment is this - Is it really good for us to put ourselves in a position where we are coming into contact with these entities?

Feeling pretty freaked out - Any advice/ reassurance would be appreciated...

Hey, nice experience. not only did u verify the astral, u used the conjurations to good effect. nice one.

I know how u feel, i remember that feeling when I first tried it. I wouldn't worry the neg entities, I have ran into a few from my experiences, and in a way, don't mind either, as u learn about them. You have just found out about a new world that has almost limitless possibilies, you can speak with higher spiritual beings and go to amazing places... good times.

Plenty of people on this website have astral travelled, so your not alone.

Don't worry man - let the adventures begin :-)

Hey Neil,

Well done on an amazing experience!

That's great that you were able to verify both the authenticity of the astral and the conjurations in your first outing.

Negative entities try to stop us from gaining true spiritual experiences and teachings in the astral, so anyone trying to do this is bound to meet them, whether we realise it or not. (They may pretend to be a spiritual being for instance, or someone we know, but their eyes always give them away.. and they just look shifty) However experiences like the one you have had are very useful, because now you know that you can get past them.

I would try not to let your mind go crazy about the drink. I don't know what it was, if it was something harmful or just a distraction. Either way, it's far better to be in awareness... and give yourself a better chance of waking up again!

Well done Neil, I hope to see you on the astral course next round

All the best

Hi,

Good job!
Waking from dreams is something I'm struggling with right now.
I can wake up in them, or be woken up in them, but can not become conscious of the astral.
I seem to remain in the dreamworld.

The best experiences for me are the ones I pop right out of. No dreaming or anything.

That conjuration works well for you it looks like.
Yes, you're lucky to have been able to experience what you did so fast! It's easy to scared and let the fear end it for alot of people.

I too have the same worries, that we shouldn't be doing something if its putting us straight infront of negative entities... BUT i do know that there is so much to gain from the Astral, that its all worth it.

Like Dean said, that experiance has taught you that you CAN get passed them. Sadly i haven't had the same yet, every time i've come into contact with a negative entity i've wooshed back to my body in fear - but i'll keep trying! :)

Hi Neil,

That's great you had such a vivid experience. To me, it sounds like you handle the situation very well. You have to use your own judgment and intuition there to try to avoid negative encounters and such, just as you did.

Also, try to remember that this isn't going to happen every time you go into the astral. The next time you wake in a dream or project, you could have a much different experience. Just as there are negative entities, there are spiritual beings. So, perhaps your next encounter will be with one of them :)

Thanks to all of you for your replies, I really appreciate it as it helps me see I'm not going crazy!

I've had a strange week trying to get my head round this experience. I think its because I experienced so much so suddenly - I dont know why it happened that way. I can honestly say its changed my life. I keep going from being excited to being scared. I now know that I exist outside my body and beyond death. Confirming this for myself has had a profound effect on me and is leading to bigger questions for me about life and what I am doing here.

I've signed up for an online course for next week on Self Discovery. This feels like the right course to go on right now.

Thanks again
Neil

Sounds like a good decision Neil :)

Pixie, as far as coming up against negative entities, Why does Frodo come up against so much darkness and opposition in The Lord of the Rings?... That's good motivation i think.

Much strength,
Dean

OK - its an old post, but I kinda found out by mistake what happens when you drink something offered by dodgy characters... as mentioned in first post.... felt real ill in the astral, but woke up fine as I expected.... had worse experiences drinking Brisbane coffee......hard to find good coffee in Brisbane!

Buenos noches.
