Course-End Social

Yesterday was the end of our very first round of live courses here in Vancouver. As you recall from Justin's blog , we ran the course in Dreams and Out-of-Body Experiences this January.

Explaining some examples

from the Dream guide

It was a great turnout and we had a lot of keen participants, who gave us all their attention while we were giving our weekly talks. Everyone seemed to treasure their copy of the Astral Travel and Dreams book, and showed great interest in the weekly topics. They also found the exercises very fun and enjoyable, particularly the Reality Checks.

We also had an opportunity to hold some group Astral practices that were very beneficial and helpful to those who participated.

For the final week of the course, we invited everyone for a relaxed social hour to celebrate, and show our thanks and appreciation to all those that came out to the course.

We had over an hour of fun-filled chats and delectable treats. People hung around to talk amongst each other, share their experiences, ask about upcoming retreats, and have more opportunities to ask questions about Dreams and Out-of-Body Experiences in general.

It was interesting to hear different stories about how people became interested in the subject. I was most intrigued at hearing how someone became interested after he had a NDE (Near-Death Experience). He was struck by lightning, and experienced being out of body. His incredible experience led him to explore more about the topic of OBE's. As Belzebuub (independent spiritual author) mentions in his article about Near-Death Experiences : "NDEs are quite common, and exist in all cultures around the world and happen to people of all ages. Statistically around one in ten or one in nine people who die and revive have a NDE." I found it incredible to have personally met someone who had experienced this. It was fascinating to hear him share his experience and to see how inspired he was to learn more about what had happened to him.

Many of the people that attended the course stated that they have had great success with lucid dreaming, and conscious Astral travel, after learning the techniques and practicing the exercises that were given in the course. Congratulations to all for their efforts, persistence, and success! People were really thankful that the courses are being offered here in Vancouver.

One of the most common problems mentioned was the subconscious interfering with the lucidity and clarity of their dream and Astral experiences. For this reason, many are enthusiastic to take the Self-Discovery course to learn more about their inner psychology, practice being in the 'here and now', and to learn how to clear away the subjective elements of the psyche in order to have more lucidity when in the Astral. By the way, for those who were inquiring, Belzebuub has re-released the companion book for this course, 'The Peace of the Spirit Within'!

For yesterday's occasion, Justin baked a cake, and brownies. Special thanks to all the course participants that brought in some goodies to share. There were surprisingly a lot of keen Astral projectors who are also bakers in the course :p Thanks to Mike for making an emergency run to get some hummus for our pitas, because we had forgotten to take it out of the fridge. Way to go team!

Unfortunately we didn't catch the other goodies on camera

Notice, the hummus is still missing in action...

All in all, we had tremendous positive feedback about the course, and it was great to build a connection with the people here in Vancouver. Having a group of like-minds together to learn and share from one another is very strengthening. Again, much thanks for the support, and for welcoming the Vancouver Gnostic Group here in British Columbia! It has been an amazing experience for us so far!

And what kind of blogger would I be if I didn't invite you to our next round of courses—starting this Saturday, March 08, reserve your seat now! We also have some great events...coming up...be sure to check us out!
