Hi all, I'm a newbie from Australia, really interested in finding out how I can have some control over my already vivid dreams. I wake up exhausted almost every morning. Hints and Tips will be recieved very gratefully. |

Hi Daznic,
Welcome to the forums. Many factors can cause this, so it is very difficult to say.
Usually when I wake up exhausted in the morning, it is either because I slept too little or too much.
Going to bed with an active mind (thoughts, worries, etc.) can also greatly effect the quality of sleep. If the latter is the case, you could try to avoid activities which require the mind, an hour or more before going to sleep. A walk outside in the evening after dinner can also help.
Going to bed around the same time every day and getting up at the same time can also greatly effect the quality of sleep.
All the best,
Martijn

Hi Daznic,
Welcome!
Have you had a look at the courses page here: http://www.gnosticweb.com/courses
I think the Dreams and Out of Body Experiences course would help you a lot in learning to control your dreams, and also to go the step further if you're interested, which is to have conscious out of body experiences!
If you're interested in doing the course it starts on Sunday, there are a few centres in Australia, if you're close enough to one you might like to check it out, because it's great when you can learn and practice at the same time as a group of other people. It's really inspiring! Alternatively you could do the course online if that appeals to you more.
As well as what Martijn said, do you do any exercise? I used to have problems with not sleeping well and waking up exhausted, but with the courses here and some exercise a few times a week I started to feel much more rested when I woke up. A nap every now and then can help too if you don't sleep much to help catch up on the backlog of sleep.
All the best,
David
