so last night/early morning i woke up. i went back to bed and started to feel vibrations. i laid there for a little bit. i felt that my body was paralyzed. i just got out of bed and thought i had exited my body. i ran towards my wall and tried to jump through it. it didnt work. i just bounced off of it. so i tried to jump through my window. again, nothing. i just bounced off of it too. at that point i thought that maybe i didn't actually exit my body. so i layed down in bed and went back to sleep. when i woke up i knew that i did in fact make it out of body (based on minor differences in my room). my question is this: What do i do when i cant pass through walls, fly, etc. ? How can i know if i am in the astral when simple tests like jumping or moving through objects doesnt work? ive had a few experiences where ive tricked myself into thinking that i was in the physical when i wasnt. any suggestions? dreamwa1ker |

Hey dreamwa1ker,
This happens to me a lot too. I'll even do the finger stretching test and slap the backs of my hands, tap my windows, try to go through the door and hurt my shoulder and it will all feel like the physical. I'll then return back to bed, just like you. I hate when I trick myself like that. But, I finally got smart and started turning the door knobs and going out the doors and trying to just stay as long as I could in the astral (conscious). I really do know where I'm at. So, it is a nasty trick when this happens.
But, the answers I keep getting from this forum is that I have to work harder on consciousness. I have been doing that and this morning I had such an obvious astral projection that I didn't need to do any test. (I used La Ra S to project.) I knew consciously that I was in the astral and started trying to get to higher dimensions. (They wouldn't let me though, or I wouldn't let myself or I couldn't at this point in my consciousness. I don't know which.) I was grounded, literally. I fell to the ground and was afraid that I was going to the infra dimensions. To my relief, I just landed on the grass and then went into a dream.
You'll figure it out for yourself. Good luck and keep me posted on how it's going for you,
Dusty

Hi dreamwa1ker,
It is also really important that you learn how to ask genuinely which dimension you are in and really believing you are in the astral. It is good to do the astral checks during the day and having that genuine doubt about where you are because if we don't do it sincerely then it doesn't work.

Look back and try to see the physical body laying there, then you'll know you're obviously not in it. Usually this shock of seeing it would suck one right back in though if you're not accustomed to it.
There may be better ways though. I didn't like getting slammed back in. Here's my experience:
I have terrible eyesight and can't see without my contacts in.
I take them out before I go to sleep.
If I find myself awake all of a sudden and I know that I was just sleeping, I can do a reality check just by looking around.
If everything is blurry then obviously I woke up in the physical body. If everything appears clear and sharp, perfect vision, then obviously I'm in the astral body since those eyes are not affected the way the physical ones are.
Just an example, maybe you can come up with something like it.

I never understood why people disliked the "shock" of coming back to your body all of a sudden. Until I had it happen and it was very unpleasent haha, it was almost like I just got shocked by some shock paddles from the hospital my body jumped a little and I felt this big jolt.

I meant shock as in psychological implication but that's funny you felt a "shock." Everyone's experience isn't quite the same.
I felt like I fell from a high place onto my back and heard and "explosion" at the same time.
