Hello!

I'm not new with the idea of Astral Projection, but more than ever have I actually wanted to do it. The only thing is I don't know how to do so. What are some easy beginner techniques that can help me?

And what should I expect when I go into the Astral? I've heard of a cord that attaches my spiritual body to my physical body and if it breaks, then I'm in trouble. Is that true?
I'm not really scared of what may happen- I'm more curious than anything!

Thanks for your help!

Hello and welcome,

There are a number of things to astral projection that are needed to be successful at it, these being namely concentration and technique. There is a free course given online here that teaches this in a structured and step-by-step way. On the course there are many techniques provided and ones that have proven to be most successful. This course taught me and many others about astral projection and I would highly recommend it if you are seriously interested.
If you want to try an exercise until the new round of courses start you can try the following.

Relaxation
Lying on your back with your arms by your side systematically go through the body and relax every muscle. Keep on doing this trying to get deeper and deeper into the relaxation. You might notice your body start to feel heavy, maybe heavy and light at the same time. Just keep on relaxing and explore any sensations that arise and try and go deeper into them.
This is essentially a very simple but powerful practice that is used in most if not all spiritual practices.

We all go into the astral every time we go to sleep and we all manage to come back safe and sound. The only difference really with astral projection is that we are consciously there and separate from our physical body.
From being there consciously I can say that there is no problem coming back. Quite the contrary, there is usually a problem of staying out without being pulled back to the physical body. Being in the astral feels quite free and lovely. One can fly and move through objects and travel to places of true mystery and wonder. Places that don't exist in this physical dimension.
Keep on being curious :-). That gives a lot of strength and perseverance to find out about spiritual elements and discover things that are truly awe inspiring.
All the best with it,
Adam.
