I've just had another amazing spontaneous Astral Projection, every time I get one, I'm totally amazed. I often come back with questions about things that I don't understand about the experience. Forum members have been very helpful and I'm very grateful.

At first I thought I fell out of my bed, but I didn't hurt myself at all which was unexpected. I then realised I was actually out of my body, I just knew, I don't know how. I could see everything as clear as day, fully concious in every way. NOTHING LIKE A DREAM. I was FULLY AWAKE and thinking rationally! I looked at my hands and they melted away every time. I actually managed this time to move towards my flat door, into the hall way. I don't know how I did it, it was like I was walking which didn't seem right. Anyway, I decided to see if I could enter my neighbours flat that I have never seen. I hoped to report back my findings, proving I was really there. None of this was decided beforehand either, proving how rational I really was. I was about to leave my flat and for some reason I lost it and ended up back inside my body, opening my eyes immediately. I then closed my eyes again and straight away I was seeing with my eyes shut, unfortunately this time, despite tugging and pulling, I couldn't move which got frustrating. I returned back to my body again and kept projecting every time I re-closed my eyes on around 10 occasions, but I still couldn't move. Once I was beside my bed again, looking up at the quilt cover, but for some reason I couldn't move again like the first time. I even tried imagining myself elsewhere and floating away, but none of this worked. I know I experienced even more that was very clear at the time and I told myself I wouldn't forget, my memory is getting better, still needs much improvement.

These experiences are really incredible, I can't get over them. I used to be sceptical too. After experiencing my first Astral Projection, it's like I opened up a doorway that will never close ever again. Anyway, I'm really glad I did. Getting to my flat door is the furthest I've managed to get so far, so this is brilliant. Has anyone got any suggestions as to why I couldn't move after the first occasion as beside my bed I must have been fully separated - or was I? I don't understand why it felt like I was walking to my flat door when I haven't got physical legs, is this normal? In my hallway, I remember seeing objects that weren't really there, I think I've read about this before, is a dream interfering with what's really there?

Hello P.J.Carloss,

Well done on the effort and success.
Traveling in the astral is the same as traveling here.(in the physical). If we want to walk and go out the door-actually walk and go out the door. Don't think it actually physically/astrally do it.
Things exist in the astral that don't exist here in the physical so it could be they were part of that higher dimension or possible that there was some dream interference.
I have had similar problems with astral projection over the years with not moving and I have found it handy to do a trial-and-error approach. So having a strategy for a problem and implementing it the next time I am out and about, or when that problem reoccurs.
The time I had a problem similar to what you described I noticed there was a subconscious state interfering. It was only tiny (to me) and hard to spot but basically there was an amount of doubt that was holding me back. You are the only one who will know for sure so try and retrospect the experience and look for any mental thoughts or feelings that could be interfering.
All the best with it PJ and let us know how you go,
Adam
