Vancouver Courses Begin...Weeks 1 & 2

We started our first full round of courses in Vancouver this January (following an introductory session last November), so we thought we’d post an update letting everyone know how they went.

It was a fun and challenging experience to tackle a new city, explore it, get to know its quirks, and try to let everyone know about our upcoming event.

You never know how many people will show up, but we all did our best and made a special effort to get the word out in any way we could. It was very gratifying to see our efforts rewarded with such a positive and enthusiastic response.

We quickly ran out of seats at the library, and so we split the group into two different sessions running back to back. Overall, about 105 Vancouverites came out in week one to learn about the world of dreams and out-of-body experiences.

There was a great energy in the room, and both sessions turned out extremely well. It was incredible to meet such a range of people, from every background and every walk of life, all interested in a phenomenon that to many people out there seems quite unusual.

I was shocked during one of the lectures when I asked how many people had had an OBE or lucid dream before – it looked like more than half of the room put up their hands! Several people mentioned how great it was to finally have a space where they could talk about their experiences with others, and I think this is one of the best aspects of attending a live group: interacting with a really diverse range of people who are all interested in pursuing spiritual experiences.
