I also liked "Gandhi" directed by Richard Attenborough (1982). It was very inspirational and provided insight into the life of that extraordinary man.

I saw Finding Neverland yesterday. It probably doesn't go far as far as individual spirituality is concerned, but the movie is good for depicting how the spiritual search combined with excellence in human relationships can elevate humanity and produce (collective and partial?) Jinas (sp?, don't know exactly what the term is about) for a select few.

I particularly like the idea of the familiar animals that follow their partners around in The Golden Compass.

I would like to recommend Heima, it's a documentary with beautiful landscapes and music. You can watch it legally for free on this link

Hello Jackie!

I like The Golden Compass movie too. You can do a test in the movie website to find out what is your daemon... http://www.goldencompassmovie.com
I did it and got the Lion. I have to say that I had so many cool dreams with lions, although it symbolizes the karmic law and sometimes can be on your favour or not... it's a powerful and beautiful animal. In general all animals are very symbolic in dreams and can help by transmittiing a message regarding our internal state.

Bless you

Hi Maria, thanks for the buddy request! I remember a shamn telling me once to find my power animal in my dreams. Not long after I dreamt I was in a zoo and the animals were freely roaming. Lions, tigers, an elephant and an ape came towards but it was too much for me to handle and I woke up. I was after a power animal not the whole zoo!!!! Not tried that avenue since!!!

But yes the Golden Compass idea of the familiar animal - its like an externalisation of our consciousness that we must defend and without it we are soulless.

There's a remake of Jason and the Argonauts? Sweet, I'll have to look for it.
