Which course would be best to take after the Dreams course? I'm thinking either Self Discovery or Gnostic Wisdom. What do you guys think? |

Hey Dusty. I was wondering the same thing. All I know is that you need to do the other 3 courses before you can sign up for the Gnostic Wisdom. Does anybody out there know if there is some order the courses should be done in, or is it just by personal preference?

Hi Dusty,
Everyone has their own journey, their own logic and intuition behind the choices of the courses.
Personally, I've started with Dreams and OBEs course, it was called "astral course" at that time.
I was so intrigued to learn how to get out of my body and explore another dimension!
Then I got very interested to learn more about my psyche and to understand how I can improve my life by dealing with psychological problems, so I went for Self-Discovery course.
After, I was quite interested to continue my self-exploration and just coudn't wait to get the technique to eliminate egos, that's why I've taken Gnostic Wisdom course, it was called "journey to enlightenment course" at that time.
At that moment, passing through astral and self-discovery courses, were necessary prerequisites for the third couse to be available. Currently, there is third prerequisite -Meditation course.
Meditation course is very practically oriented, giving students a numerous opportunities to polish their basics.
I think that you'll just see it, what is the best for you.
Good luck with the courses!

Hi Blue orb,
There is no order in which to take 3 first basic courses, then there is Gnostic Wisdom course, Open course and finally, Teachers Course, for those who are interested to teach.
Best wishes,

You only have to take the OBE and Self-Discovery before the Gnostic Wisdom, the Mediation course is not mandatory. But I highly recommend it.
There is some confusion on this issue, but this has been corrected if you read the requirements for the Gnostic Wisdom course

Hey Dusty and Blue Orb,
I agree with Vadim, in that by the time you get to the end of the Dreams and OBEs course you'll probably have a good idea of which course you want to do next.
The Meditation course is very practical, with not much theory, so you might like to take that if you want to hone your skills with concentration etc. There is a bit of an overlap between the practices in the Dreams and OBEs course, but the practices are aimed at quietening the mind in this course (as far as I understand it anyway) rather than at having an out of body experience.
When I started there wasn't the meditation course so I went straight from the course about astral travel to the Self Discovery course. It was really great because it taught me so much about myself that I had no idea of. What you are taught really compliments what's taught in the Dreams and OBEs course too. Some of the things we you learn about in Self Discovery are the things that can be an obstacle to OBEs. So you learn how to overcome the things that make it harder to have an out of body experience, and harder to stay out of your body when you do have them. You also learn how to strengthen the spiritual part inside of us, so dreams and OBEs become clearer and more spiritual.
As well as that though it really helped me understand a lot about my life and why things worked and happened the way they did.
All the best with your current courses and choosing what to do after them, I'm sure you'll enjoy whichever one you pick!

I think I would have benefited more from taking the self-discovery one first, then take the astral travel/dreams course.
It might happen that alot of other people would too, but I understand there's little patience in learning astral travel, everyone wants out now and the astral course is what will attract people to gnosticweb first, then they can take the rest if they want to stay.
It just seemed easier for me to learn and go about astral practices after I knew more about myself and how the psyche operates. It's just easier with a clearer mind and you learn this in the discovery course.
On the other hand, people may want to learn more about themselves after having OBEs - so I guess it works either way!

Hi Apakhana,
I think I'm in the same position as you! :)
After doing all the courses and going back to do them again I decided to do the Self Discovery course before the OBEs and Dreams one, because it seems a bit more important to me now (although maybe I neglect the astral side of things a bit?).
When I first went through the courses I loved the OBEs and Dreams course so much I kept going and I was amazed! Looking back though I think I probably needed to find and do the astral course first, because I didn't know I was interested in learning more about myself and how I work and changing until I started doing the Self Discovery course.
I guess everything happens as it's meant too..
Thanks!
David
