I am interested to know what my fellow Gnostics have to say on the ZeitGeist movie (zeitgeistmovie.com). WARNING: If you have not yet viewed this movie be careful. It rocked my faith to the core. In fact, without Gnosis, I would probably be an athiest at the moment.

PS: I am only talking about the first part of the movie, the part about christians.

Hello Goldbomb444,

I have seen the movie ZeitGeist and liked it a lot in how it presented its information. However just because factual information is presented there is still a persons 'idea' or 'belief' that links the points together in the overall 'this is how it is' presentation.
Its important if one is going to watch such things to take on the information presented but be critical of it as well. Its easy to adopt someone else's opinion after watching a biased documentary . The danger with this is that whether an opinion is right or not its still just a concept of the mind based on information but not on actual fact. Taking on such opinions as truth can then blind people in not allowing to see the truth, whatever that may be.
On a personal note even though they did portray the 1st part as doctored information to control the masses I saw it as evidence of just how much Divine help had been given since the dawn of humanity.
The Gnostic Wisdom course given freely on this site allows a much deeper understanding of this but also many many other things.

All the best Goldbomb,
Adam

I have seen it & I'm not sure how it could rock gnostic faith. to me, the first part is about what might really have been going on with the Christ story - that doesn't necessarily invalidate the idea there was a Christ.

It does, I think, call into question the standard line of who he was, but if the information presented about the other 'messiah' types is at all accurate, then there is a huge question over the biblical messiah story anyway.

Add in the predecessors to the Noah story, the monuments & buildings we've found under water that we know has been there for more than 10,000 years, & there is solid evidence that there is more to the history story than we've been allowed to know.

For me, what's really scary about the movie is how the banking stuff fits with other things I've learned across the years.

Is this like the 'if you meet the Bhudda you should kill him' quote? By all accounts, either of them would be pretty hard to refuse. *grins*

I really liked how it talked about all the different messiahs from all the different times and places and showed the shared or similar events and characteristics in their lives.

Like Adam said, when that's tied in with the information from the Gnostic Wisdom course it's pretty incredible!

Quite amazing even on it's own! :)
