It's fantastic to see the project is underway here down under! The last two Australian retreats have been just awesome, and it would be fantastic to have a permanent retreat site.

Strength to everyone!

Its great to finally see an Australian retreat project.

As those who have been lucky enough to attend a Retreat can testify to their benefits of strength, motivation and mystical experiences. To have a location where these sorts of things can be built up by repeated groups and efforts would truly be fantastic.

I have found the retreats at the Bunyas great.

It would be good if we could find a place that has a nice spiritual feel like that national park does.

Up high, in the crisp air- an excuse to have a fire going almost through out the year would be handy.

- i don't mind chopping wood by the way.

lol.

Yeah you can't beat the benefits of having a nice fire.

I actually found wood chopping at the Bunyas to be a true test of concentration and awareness. Stray for but a moment and that steel headed axe will go anywhere.

Yet if you hold the right state and apply the correct effort the wood splits in a satisfying way. I found it to be an interesting 1st key exercise and working analogy in action.

-or maybe I just like chopping wood too.

I'm starting to be convinced that we would need somewhere large enough to be able to grow some food too.

That means that we may have to clear a bit of land- not a problem if we are selective and keep our fire places in mind for winter ;-)

But it would be good to be able to eat some fresh grown fruit and veges.

Does anyone have other ideas about things we could be doing with a nice patch of land?

Yum.. Fresh organic vegies would be awesome!

A little space for cricket and hacky sack would be nice too:)

If it was a permanent ongoing set up it would be good to try and make it self-sustainable as possible.

Maybe a cow or goats depending on terrain for milk supply.
Maybe a chicken coop for some organic free range eggs would be good.

A lot does depend on there being someone there throughout the year to keep these things running however, and the location.

Any more suggestions?

Adam.

A selection of fruit trees may also be an idea to produce self-grown organic fruit!

Strength to everyone!
