It is used in conjunction with a ritual to get the elemental (nature spirit) living inside the plant to protect against attacks and works of unpleasant magic.

thankyou patrik
i auctually have the information on how to do the ritual, (but no sound files) . i also have a century plant! lately i have been doing some visualisation practices with the plant, and the more i do , the more i start feeling the need to do the ritual ; but unfortunatly for me i have never done it.
maybe i should just take action and do it, but somehow it seems complicated and i dont want to get the words wrong!!

The ritual might appear more complicated than it actually is. The greatest trickery is to memorize the words properly, since you need both hands in order to do the ritual you cannot easily read from a peace of paper.

It is however only a few "unusual" words, the rest is quite straight forward. If you are experiencing problems with entities, then it might be a good idea to do it. If however you have never had problems, even though left body and had experiences, it might not yet be a necessity.

If you are uncertain how to do it, you can always ask here, should be someone willing to help I'd think...

Hi Redkenny,

It can't hurt to do it. Maybe you could do a few practice rounds until you get comfortable with it. It seemed complicated to me at first. However, it was actually easy to memorize after a week or so.

Hi,

Can I ask where everyone found their century plants at? Did you go to a florist or somewhere similar? I am familair with the rite but have never owned a century plant, I will get one if I find one and they look cool too.

I have some citrus trees and miscellaneous plants too but never have seen their elementals.

Hi Apakhana,

I bought some seeds at Ebay. You need a specific kind of century plant though, so make sure you don't buy the wrong one. Think it's called Agave Americana and has thick green leaves...

Hi Apakhana,

I found a website that sells them. I ordered one about a week and a half ago. I expect to receive it soon. I'll post the website link when I receive it and if the transaction goes well.

I also had luck on ebay about a year ago. However, when I tried to find one recently, there weren't many auctions for pure Agave Americana...there were a lot of mixed breeds of plants.

A few people have suggested purchasing seeds. I think that's a great idea because those are more readily available online (much easier to ship!).

There's a guy on Ebay who always names his agave americana auctions "Agave americana AMERICAN CENTURY PLANT Exotic SEEDS!" .
I bought 5 seeds from him and all 5 germinated.
