Ok last night I had a dream where I was at my old house in the backyard, and my dad was there. Ill just condense it cause there's alot in it. I found these little buds of pot, and seeds, so I tried to horde it all. Yes I smoke pot in real life but I don't buy it, only if im given it, it's a waste of money even though it is enjoyable. So I found these little bits of buds, and I ran to my room before my dad saw I had it, he smokes pot too so I thought he'd take it. All of a sudden a bag was in my hand with pot in it, dunno how it got there I just remember running across the lawn of the backyard to get to my room, I was in the room, I went to a dresser that was actually in that room at a time, found the pipe I made in the dresser, and then I woke up. So I was like dang that was a cool dream, im still tired, and somehow I have no idea how I did it. I just concentrated and I actually went back to the same dream at will while concentrating probbly about 3-4 times. I went there and went through the dresser and couldnt find the lighter so I looked under a sock and wished the lighter was there, it was. So I was like hey, I must be lucid if I'm able to controll my movements like this and make things appear. I could tell I was lucid because it felt like I was concentrating extremely hard in my head to keep myself there, so I decided to attempt at projecting, I just lifted up without even trying as if I was flying, but I couldn't see anything so I took it I lost concentration. But I kept doing it 3-4 times and one time I started vibrating. I decided to stop trying to project because I was afraid something bad was waiting on the other side, i've heard storys from my dad that there are some very nasty spirits and beings that could possibly lead me off, so that came into my head when I started vibrating and I quit the attempt. I wish I would have continued the attempts, that's the 2nd or 3rd dream I remember trying to project from that included vibrations.

Hi John,

It's great that you were able to become lucid. It sounds like you've been quite attentive to your dreams, noting the various clues that pop up in them as to the fact that we're dreaming. Things turning out exactly how we want is a neat one, also from what you described the quick change in locations often comes up in a dream. One second we're at school, the next we're home in our room.

I think these sorts of things are neat in their own right; they tend to reflect how our mind rapidly changes from one thought to another, and how unaware we really are in life.

While it is true that their are somewhat nasty beings in the astral, it's also true that they cannot harm us physically and in general all they can do is scare us (which unfortunately sends us back to our body). So even if you encounter them, just remember they cannot harm you - our astral body isn't like our physical body.

I find that when I become lucid in my dreams, it really helps to come to a state of awareness so that the dream images disappear and I can see things objectively. I think this might help in how you felt you were concentrating really hard to stay there. With awareness, everything is very natural. Awareness is being aware of the information from our five senses and keeping clear of irrelevant thoughts, etc. In the astral it can often help us see better, too.

All the best!

Mike
