Just thought I'd share my most lucid moments and, if any would like to share theirs as well, discuss accordingly.

Towards 5:30AM in the Summer of last year I awake from a dream in which I am a wanderer of some sort. I have awakened into a conscious awareness of my insane surroundings after looking at the metal gauntlet/gloves I have on my hands and feeling their wieght. I think to myself, "I've got to get these off." And I immediately reply, "Why don't you just take them off?" I do so, and immediately become aware that I would never be in a place like this while awake, therefore I conclude, "I am dreaming." I have been crawling around in an enormous sinkhole/crater around the rim of which a monumental white marble temple/city sits empty and barren, bleached to a blinding sheen.Very minimalist Grecian and/or Babylonian architecture stretching up, up, up. Two rivers run through channelways in the Temple, one from each side, East and West. Each river spills into the center of the Temple in cascading showers, falling down perhaps four-hundred meters into an blueblack lake in the crater's depths. In the center of this lake is an immense pillar rising, with a tattered black rope bridge leading to a platform at it's top. To get to the bridge I had to traverse the maze of winding hallways and catacombs, and Heaven knows why I wanted to get there, it just seemed like the place to go. It was when I reached this bridge that I "woke up" in my dream. Before me on the platform is a large building with foreboding wooden doors all stained with something. I open them and there are rows and rows of people there, hundreds and hundreds of them, all weaving this thick black wiry stuff into ropey tendrils. At the other end of the building from me is this huge cage with giant machine-arms inside weaving thinner strands of the wire into the thicker cords that the people are knotting up. Behind the giant machine-arms sits an aged man, withered and trembling, but with a look of power in his eyes. His wirey black hair grows at incredible speed and the arms pick it up and weave, weave, weave. He smiles at me, then mouths some words to me that I cannot hear, just his lips moving slowly. I awaken and sit there, going over the details in reverse. I get up and write it down.

Not long after the last experience, I started having intense sessions of lucid dreams in which I felt "fully awake." I began to experiment with dream stereotypes that defied my earthly body. My favorites involved flying, but I also experienced intense lucid pain by mutilation, melting, crushing, etc., breathing underwater, leaving my body in a dream, entering others bodies in dreams, morphing into animals, other people, objects, plants, being two or three things at the same time, and disapparating/teleporting.

The most lucid I've ever been, I was talking to my mother in a dream. We were discussing the possible psychiatric applications of DMT (the hallucinogenic compound found in various plants and animals, including the human brain) and realized that I would NEVER be talking to my mom about this, therefore was dreaming. I told her, "Mom, I'm dreaming this." and she said, "Yeah, I'll see you later." I suddenly am outside walking along the railroad tracks that I used to walk down to go to the arcade when I was younger. I look down at the gravel and it SNAPS into focus. I see a piece of trash with lettering on it, reminding myself to look from object to object to keep my sight attenuated. I laugh to myself, "I'm dreaming why am I walking?" I remember somehow from old dreams the technique for flying: Roll the eyes back slightly, keep your arms in a relaxed position at your sides, palms facing back. Raise your chin and cast your eyes upward, losing focus slightly. Now, tighten your diaphram and push your center UP, UP, UP! If you've got to, clench your buttocks. Keep your mind CALM. I flew for a while before I woke up, it was my alarm clock that finally did it.

Please share and/or comment.

Hi Nathanael,

Rich experiences, congradulation! It seems to me that you are someone who have a dedactive and scintific approach to explore the astral plane. What is it that you search in the astral? Do you have a goal or you just doing it to experience all sort of new sensetions?

As I understand it now, astral plane can be used for various purposes, but only when it is used with objectivity that in the end turns out to be beneficial not only for you, but for everyone else, then it is used for good.

Otherwise astral plane is no different from the physical world, where those who have some power, in this case (money), can easily abuse themselves and others as well. Only it is way easier to harm yourself in the astral then in the physical becuase of the liberty that it provides and by harming your self I mean letting your desires manifest and become srtonger.

Considering this, it is best to have conscious and objective goals when exploring the astral plane. Everyone is free to do what they think is best, and this is the world we are living in. If someone sees that, and is willing to search for understanding of what is really good for the sake of everyone, then this person would use the astral plane just for that.

It is only my comment and personal opinion, I wish you much more great experiences and wish you to find your objective goal, since it is also a helping factor in exporing the astral plane.
