Ok, I havnt had an OBE in quite some time now, 2 months or more likely. Ive only projected once or twice in my life, but I used to always have lucid dreams before this 2 month drought where I wake up in my dream and realize I am dreaming. Lately though something has prevented me from waking in my dream. I will get the vibrations either in my dream or when I have woken up and am falling back asleep, but cannot fully get out of my body because my heart is holding me back. I feel a sensation asociated with pain in my heart, it feels really uncomfortable to completely go through with dislodging because my heart gets this wierd pain like feeling. It doesnt fully hurt me, but it feels like it causes great tension and pressure in the heart. Is this my heart chakra that is causing this? Thanks for your time. Andrew |

hi Soulstride~,
I had similar expereince during my first OBE, but mine was with third eye chakra,,I had immense pressure or pain like feeling but after a couple of experience it became normal,.
Ya thats supposed to be your heart chakra,& its just a common pre-projection symption(if i'm not wrong)

I wrongly assumed the headline of your post was refering to a different subject that I wanted to elaborate on but to add to your post, I too have experienced not-so-good sensations with the heart and it's general area.
Therefore I can come to the realization that, along with reading about the experiences of others, we are not the only one's to feel this and it is a common occurence.

What I wanted to get at originally was that I often think of the heart beat as an "anchor" to pull me back to awareness during attempting concious, willed astral projection.
It is a technique that rings true with me most of the time while I am trying to project and dream images start to lull me into them.

Yes it likely is the heart chakra, closed I presume. Once I start this mediatation course and get good at it im going to work on excercises to open the chakras.

I've noticed a relation between the heart chakra and awareness, too. Like, when I've stimulated the chakra it is easier to remember myself. Someone told me about M Rabolu speaking about the relation between awareness and feeling the heart's beat.
SoulStride, for me the courses have proved to be useful to getting to know more about my chakras. good luck!
