I had a dream the other night about saving my younger brother from something, cant remember everything, the dream happened this morning, its now 2 am. I got stabbed in the chest lol, I felt the pain from it to a degree. Just wierd I dunno why I mentioned that dream but I did. Heres another one more interesting. I remember this one quite vividly because it was such a strong dream. I dont know if it was a glimpse of the future or symbolic. I was on a bus, and there was an attack of some sort, I dunno if it was terrorists, my senses seemed to think so. I looked out the window at the sky and saw a massive plane crash into the ground a good distance away. This was in the city though and I was looking out into lake ontario towards the toronto islands. Anyhow, chaos was going on in the city and the bus started speeding up and got faster and faster, and then there was a massive crash in which I died. Oh and like 99% of the time I have a pleasant dream, or one that doesnt make any sense. :) |

Hi Andrew,
Interesting...From what I understand, death in dreams can correspond to the internal death of the psychological defects, which can be a scary experience, but actually be an indicator of the spiritual transformation taking place, because superior qualities of consciousness can be born only when the inferior parts of the psyche would be destroyed.
But it can be simply the projection of subconscious as well. There is so much hatred and violence in the world around us, just open up a newspaper, or turn on TV...it's not surprising that we can see it in the dreams too, and even experience it.
I remember, I used to have a very similar dreams too, when I played oftenly violent computer games, but when I stopped playing, they became rare; and after I had worked on the related parts of my psyche, they disappeared.
If a dream doesn't make any sense for now, it can be a good idea just to write it down, thus training a dreams remembrance and who knows, maybe with the spiritual progress in the future, those dreams will become clear and reveal some useful tips for internal progress.
All the best!

Thankyou Vadim, it does make sense with all this violence that my subconscious is doing this. Or if it is a deeper meaning, I hope I can get a better grasp in the future from my teachings and experiences.
I think next time this happens I may become lucid, and not think im dead, since I have been doing much thinking on this topic hopefully that can create a subconscious marker, and thus leave me to explore. I havnt had a lucid dream or projected in some time now, likely because of my lack of interest in the past few months. School has been a factor, as well as lazyness. Its a new year though, and the courses are back yahhhh!

I used to die in a lot of my dreams too. I wouldn't necessarily feel pain like you did, but it tickled somewhat. Like if I'm stabbed in the chest, I'll feel my real chest vibrate and tickle. I don't mean a pleasant tickle though, it's very uncomfortable and when I was little it made me cry when I woke up. I was probably just scared though. Ha, I remember one time I was in a dream and something was chasing me, and a bunch of stuff was going on that, to simply put it, scared the crap out of me. Then I realized it was a dream, but everything was still happening. So what I did was jump off of the cliff I was next to so I would kill myself and wake up. It was kind of fun when I knew it wasn't real. The fall I mean. I used to have a lot of nightmares when my favorite movies were horror. I don't like them much anymore, and they stopped. It's been so long since I've had a bad dream.

Odd actually cuz I had a bad dream when I was little where I was chased by an odd man, and he chased me everywhere. He was a negative entity I presume, never really been chased like that since.

I don't think I've ever thought any of them as negative entities before. That's an interesting point you bring up actually.
