about certain random things about my day to day life, they would always seem pretty real. What was weird is that they would actually end up happening later on. So I started trying to remember more of my dreams by writing them down as much as possible, but as soon as I started doing that, my dreams suddenly changed. They started to turn really abstract, and they were totally different form my old dreams. Now none of them ever happen in real life anymore. I don't know if this sounds really dumb, but does anyone have any explanation for this? |

Hi Nessie,
Thanks for sharing!
Is it not quite interesting that writing down of the past dreams can affect the dreams in the future?
I had experienced it too, I think that the reason for me was that by writing down of my dreams, I started to look into them more, unconsciously label and separate them on useful and useless dreams and switched my point of interest from remembering of all sort of things into a speific search for something new and unusual.
The abstract dreams can contain important symbols related to self-knowledge.
For myself, if I don't understand some of my dreams now, I just leave them in my diary...they can make a lot of sense later.
Best wishes,
Vadim
