Ok last night I had 2 dreams that I remember: The first was me and a real life friend were somewhere, I don't remember where but all of a sudden him or I, I don't remember who first did it, but we telepathically talked, I came up with the words in my head and sort of forced them to him, projected them to him, and I asked if he heard it, he replied in my head with a yes, and then he said something and I heard it in my head and said the exact words he used and he confimed it. My second dream is once again I don't remember much about it because I didn't decided to log it for an hour or two after I woke up, but I became aware I was in a dream and I started pulling my finger to verify it, but the dang thing wouldn't stretch, and I knew it would stretch if I was in a dream, I knew I was in a dream but then I just sort of fell back into a dream after my few attempts at making it stretch. I was always wondering how in the heck am I gonna remember to do that when i'm in a dream and it's hard enough to see that it's a dream, but somehow I just knew, and knew what to do and started pulling on my index finger. Any idea's to why my finger wouldn't stretch?Or what it could mean, i'm thinking it's my sub-concious (Higher self) saying i'm not ready to go into the astral fully conciouss yet, not without a good foundation. |

Hello John,
From my investigations when my finger did not stretch in the astral it was because there was subconscious interference. This subconscious is not our higher self but more so our lower self or collection of egos, thoughts, negativity etc. Our higher self is what we are naturally when we are free of subconscious interference. Its this part that allows us to be aware in the astral and its that part that allows us to feel peace love and all that good stuff.
We are all ready to be fully conscious in the astral we just have to apply more efforts to make it happen. It sounds like you are putting in work and are being rewarded with these experiences so keep up with it and more success should follow.
Next time your in the astral and your finger doesn't stretch try doing a little hop-fly next time. Also try pulling your finger with the belief and will that it WILL stretch. I remember it taking me a while to get this to work as there was subtle subconscious interference thinking that it wouldn't and shouldn't be able to stretch. Once I had seen it do it for the first time it ceased being such a problem as I knew it was possible then.
So great work and keep it up John. Theres no telling what experience is waiting around the corner with the more effort and determination you put in.
Strength to your practices and investigations.

Thank you, i'll try that next time i'm lucid, that is if I remember haha. I don't know what caused me to try and pull my finger it was like it was automatic, I became aware, tried it out, and lost the lucidity and went back into a dream.

Hi there,
The finger didn't ever work for me either. I even remember jumping and not taking to flight too. Even if I know it is a dream, it takes 2-3 times before I float away!
Most likely it is subconcious. My initiator seems to be teeth falling out. I know that's usually interpreted as bad, but it happens to me all the time, and I use it to realize I'm dreaming.
