Mark’s Story

Hello, my name is Mark McLeod and I'm a teacher with the Gnostic Movement, teaching at the Bondi Junction study centre in Sydney. I have been studying Gnosis for over 5 years now and of that time I have been teaching for 4 of them.

Teaching Gnosis is the most satisfying thing that I have done in my life. To be able to take these ancient and wonderful teachings and pass them on to the eager students is a honor and a privilege, something that gives me great purpose in the search for the truth. To see the students light up as the message of the truth is conveyed to them is very uplifting feeling and in return I gain strength to push forwards with my own investigations deeper into Gnosis. Not only do I get this opportunity to share the teachings face to face in the study centre, but with the medium of the web site I can help to have an impact on people’s lives right across the globe. So from teaching I also become more of a student.

Being a teacher and studying Gnosis has enabled me to achieve things in my life which previously I thought I would be incapable of and not a day goes by where I use the techniques to guide me and take me further through the difficult twists and turns that life puts before me. The one place that I have called on these techniques the most is within the family – where I have been able to develop a fruitful and special relationship with my wife, growing closer to each other by the day. Taking our challenges and strengthening the bond between us as we gain understanding. Also with our two children we have been able put in practice what we have learnt and in so creating a special environment within the home for a child to be raised within. From this we see the development within our boys as they take on strong values and a respect for fellow human beings.

I was searching for these teaching for quite sometime, so much so that the fire within me to find the truth almost went out. I was leading myself along my life and taking myself further away finding that connection to my own being. I'm truly grateful for stumbling across these teachings and for the direction that they have allowed me to align my life in and for showing me the truth and giving me the tools I need to transform and change.
