One Wedding, Two Brisbanites
Hello everyone,
Wonderful news! On the 1st of December the teachers of the Perth centre, Matthew and Sabah got married in the Swan valley in Perth. The ceremony was really beautiful, set against the backdrop of the winding swan river. Congratulations guys! I hope your honeymoon is wonderful.

Lucky for the newleyweds, Trent, from the Brisbane centre, happens to be a very talented jeweller and he offered to make their rings. He and Shannon (also from Brisbane) made the flight over for the special occaision. It was really great having the guys over here in Perth as we are a reasonably small group and quite isolated over in the West.
Here's Shannon (left) and Trent; together they are known as "Shent" strolling next to the swan river on their last night... Trent seems to have a halo around him, but alas it is just my camera's dodgy flash.

Back to the beginning. Here's the unveling of the rings to Matthew and Sabah the day before the wedding out in the swan valley. Sabah eagerly awaits the rings whilst something else seems to have caught Matthews attention ;-)

Sabah's ring. Awesome job Trent!

All smiles... Although Matthew seems to be performing his finest David Attenborough impersonation?

After the ceremony the next day the newlyweds cut the cake.

Trent delighted after finishing the dishes from the centre cafe.

From left Sabah, Matthew, Dean, Shannon and Trent in the centre garden before setting off for a picnic by the river.

After eating, the inquisitive young Gnostics investigated some strange exercise contraptions by the river. The one Matthew is on seemed to do something but the other two were beyond my understanding.
During the week Trent and Shannon postered in Fremantle, a coastal town located at the mouth of the Swan river. Thanks guys! Here they are with Cameron making their way into Northbridge (North Perth) for another round of postering...

The view of Perth from Northbridge. That's the train tracks across the road. They seperate the main city from Northbridge but apparantly there are plans to sink the station and join Northbridge to the city.

Posters going up outside the Western Australian Museum.

Alas we became hungry and made our way into the Utopia cafe. It's completely vegetarian but they make all these dishes out of soy that taste and feel just like meat. A hungry Shannon is ready to start his well earned meal.

Shannon is refueled and ready for more postering after the hearty meal.

Back at the centre, the boys take a break and reflect on their productive day.

Shannon can hardly contain his happiness... Why?

Because that night we turned the cafe into a lounge and watched Jesus of Nazareth. It was incredibly inspiring for all of us, we all got a tremendous boost from it.

The next day Cam has a quiet moment outside before the courses start.

Matthew and Rose discuss getting the awareness right.

After the courses finished we ventured south of the river for some tasty Indian. But not before taking in the sights along the river.

Shannon and Cameron enjoyed their Indian cuisine.

After dinner we went back down to the foreshore and walked out onto a jetty. Here we have the happy Newleyweds...

But Matthew is distracted again! He hears "WASO" The WA Symphony Orchestra playing on the other side of the river. Cameron doesn't seem to be entirely convinced of Matthew's long distance hearing technique.

A lady took a photo of us out on the Jetty.

Then we heard Christmas Carols coming from further up our side of the river. So we ventured towards the music.

Unfortunatly as we got closer the music didn't sound very good and it ended upon our arrival. We headed back to our cars, but there was still time to kill before Shent's plane left. The newlyweds said goodbye and Shent along with Cam and I went up to Kings Park to take in the river and city views.

In Kings Park there is a line of Gum trees that are lit up by coloured lights on the ground. Here's Trent, Shannon and Cam standing over one...

And finally a group shot of the four of us with the glowing trees in the background... We didn't mean to look like a boy band.

After a discussion overlooking the Perth skyline, Shannon and Trent headed to the airport and returned to Brisbane. Thanks for everything guys! It was great having you here.
To finish things off... This is my favourite picture of Puff the perth pigeon with his Lady friend, who's name is still undecided. Matthew tells me there will be a second poll with the most voted names from the last poll to choose from.

Merry Christmas everyone
