Finding Your Path There are many ways to become spiritual. Every person has their own beliefs on becoming more spiritual. They all lead to one goal, finding truth and love in action. GOD is LOVE. One way is not better than the other, they all get you there. Some faster than others. But they all lead you to the same goal.We are all teachers/students. I believe that we have a much greater purpose, than just living life. We are here to work on ourselves, help others, and also to learn from others. Our quest can be worth while, if we put in the effort. We cant expect it to fall into our laps. GOD helps those who help themselves. We need to look deep inside ourselves. Find out who we really are as a person, and to find the path to enlightenment. I've noticed that one persons path, might be right for him/her, but not for another. There are many different beliefs out there, That's why i think we need to do some soul searching. Only we know what we seek and what feels right. We all seek knowledge, and knowledge eventually leads to our own truths, about life. There are many questions im sure we have all thought about from time to time (Why are we here? What is our sole purpose in life? How the universe was created? Who is god or what is he? etc...) These are all questions that we can understand through time, knowledge, and looking within. Some texts say that we will know all one day, when our time here on earth is finished. But for me i have this desire to learn and hopefully understanding the big picture. Death is a touchy subject, some people fear death and this is understandable, but when we realize death is no more than shedding our skin, and becoming a beautiful butterfly ready to open its wings and move on to a new stage of life. Death is literally part of the life process so we can take what we have learned, and use this in our new existence. I wrote this a while back it has helped me find inner strength, i hope you get as much from it as i have. Have a great day/night... ~pure~ |

That's a nice post, I liked the butterfly analogy.
I know we don't have to wait until our time on Earth is over, we can experience the being, God, our true selves - right here and now.
Like the being Samael proposed, "Why must we depend on mortality?" What then is the purpose of living?
Our time to rectify ourselves is here and now. No man-made theory of an anthropomorphic idea of "God" or a Messiyah is going to do it for us...
Like the being Yeshua said, the second coming will be in the hearts of men. The anti-Christ is the fallen animal human in his/her psychologically asleep state.
It has been my experience that our psychological defects blind us to the truth right in front of us.
When we rid ourselves of the parasitic ego we can open the faculties of our conciousness, we can see through these defects and comprehend every passing moment.
With no ego in the way, no false perspective is created by identification, we can then "hear" the word, the name, the Logos, our own being existing right now.
It says "I am."
Love, glory, understanding, inspiration, "I will be what I will be..."
Until it happens to anyone, no words can accurately describe this to them.
It is gnosis; you must know from experiencing this.
I am aware we have to look inside us with our concious awareness, not externally with the tools of the intellect or anything else.
Those things we use externally or things we can not experience leave us to then only theorize and imagine; These things, however, are of our own creations and are not experienced truths.
There then seems to unfold one and only one true path, and that is the one you take internally.
May we all find Truth and Peace inside ourselves!
And merry Christmas!

Hi Apakhana,
I agree that ridding of the ego is essential. This is the first realization we must understand and employ to establish any spiritual foundation! But what I find so difficult is being unwillingly involved in society.
With so many people, so many beliefs and perspectives, it is hard for one to completly abolish the ego and specificly the identity. Even more difficult to maintain this state. With every moment of everyday persuing our identity, wether its bills, freinds, family, e-mail, ect, how are we to abolish this limiting factor.
As it appears to me, the ego exists becuase of the demands of society. Must one isolate themself to accomplish this great task before us. I guess I just wish that there was more support. All you guys are great! I have learned so much since I have been here
Thanks everybody.

Hi Nate,
What's taught in the courses here is that it's actually detrimental to lock ourselves away from society and all of its challenges, because that is where there is the most learning.
If we went away and lived by ourselves in a forest, or in a monastery or something similar it would be quiet and peaceful externally, and we'd be able to develop our awareness, but we'd still have all the egos just hiding beneath the surface, waiting to come out if an opportunity came up.
But in everything we have to do in life we have all the opportunities we need to see and overcome our egos and to wake up. It's been said that the path is life lived wisely..
I really agree with you though, it can be so hard sometimes when everything around us is pushing in the other direction to what we're trying to do here.
All the strength for learning and moving forwards despite the odds! :)
