When a person want to satisfy a desire in the physical dimension, if he has enough finances, nothing will stop him from doing that, unless of course he start to realize the consequences he will have to pay.

When a person want to satisfy a desire in a higher dimension, where there is more libarty of action and therefore a higher price to pay for its consequences, his divine parents simply have to protect him from him-self.

But if they see that his level of responsability is high enough to let him discover what he desires, they will help him and guide him.

So it is very important to become as much as possible aware of what you want, because almost always it is what one of your egos want, and not what your consciousness need.

I agree with Gyorgi about the necessity to examine the internal motives behind the astral goals whether they come from subconscious elements (egos), or consciousness.

As I understand it, Divine Parents help the best with what a person really needs and deserves to receive at the moment, according to the level of internal work, strength of wish and sincerity while asking.

Maybe you can try to start building up the relationship with Divine Mother by asking her about simple things in the astral plane, like to help you to travel to the very close distance, show you the most important psychological defect to work on, etc.

Also I find that egos influence the outcomes of the goals if the concentration is lost.
For example a person can try fly straight to Egypt, been helped by Divine Mother, but then lose concentration because of lack of resistance to fear, excitement, etc., and then either wake up in the bed, or sink into a dream and see images generated by subconscious, instead of going to Egypt.

Obviously, more practices and advancement with spiritual work should expand the capacities of astral travel and to make many things which are very difficult now, to be easy in the future.

Other then the great suggestions already offered here you might like to try asking the same question in the astral. You might just get shown something or gain some understanding from your Divine Parents.

Just to add on most places I have tried to get to in the astral I have never succeeded on my first attempt, or my second, or my third. Perseverance and dedication is needed.

The information related specifically to astral travel is more in the Dreams and Out-of-Body-Experiences course. However all the courses have elements in them that will aid with astral projection.

Well, I did ask her to show me the most important psychological defect. And then I saw lots of white with bright yellow/golden lights, then I got scared and I don't remember what happened after that... I know I have a problem with fear... Though its stable sinced I take medication for it... But what has that got to do with bright yellow lights? :/

Sounds like an interesting experience. It may of been that the lights were just shown to allow you to see your fear. Or they could mean something on there own. Only you will be able to tell for sure.

It's hard to say for sure what you experienced there. Perhaps those lights were the teaching, in which case you would have to use your intuition to see the deeper significance.

It sometimes happens that when we ask for a teaching our own subconscious obscures what we see or sometimes negative entities distort our surroundings so that we fall into a dream or wake up in bed. So practicing Awareness (so the subconscious has less influence) and doing the recitations (to dispel negative entities) if you know them are both very helpful.

We can of course learn from each experience. Sometimes I've been in a truly wonderful astral location, very close to receiving a teaching but a certain inner defect of mine (impatience, for example), has interfered and prevented me from receiving that teaching. In this example, I learnt that I needed to overcome impatience.

Lastly, I just wanted to add that our various states like fear, anger, pride, etc. are actually elements of our subconscious that we call egos. Medications can sometimes "control" these states so they don't cause as many problems in our daily life but they still remain part of our psyche until we eliminate them. Perhaps because the astral naturally lets us see more hidden aspects of our psyche, the fear was able to manifest anyway. The elimination technique is covered in the Gnostic Wisdom course.
