I should be pleased at the moment as I have some part time work and the people are okay there espcially as my friend works there, but he's off sick. I'm even studying for a course to hopefully get me into fitness, but things inside me aren't okay, I'm confused and deep inside I like so many ofttimes yearn escape. I really want to travel far, see new cultures, new people and ( I wish) new civilisations and worlds. I am a very nomadic person inside and my energies feel stale and unwell. Is there any help that anyone can give as in advice please? Maybe it's the winter blues as I LOVE sunshine and sea, but living in the countryside doesn't help.

Hello Andrei,

Every person is very different in terms of inner struggles and in the intensity of will to discipate them.

And our consciousness always knows what is the right thing to do in each struggle which comes when the right circumstances are presented for it to manifest.

Escaping the reality by doing what our sweet desires want us to do, we enjoy our selves for a short while, but then we pay the price for peace twice as much, since the desire have grown and will not leave us at peace as soon as the next struggle appears. In this way we become untraped in our selves, becoming the slaves of our desires.

You said that you *wish* to explore new civilizations and worlds, but don't you know that your wish is already granted. You are alive, and there is a whole unexplored univers inside you, all you have to do is to start exploring it, it is humangus!

There are thousands if not millions of civilizations, old and new ones, all are hiden inside, waiting for the inspired traveler to begin his journey into the sphere of human psyche.

So you can stay a nomadic person, but build a transportable Shalter - consciousness, and start exploring those incredible inner worlds without moving an inch from the place you are in now.

I wrote this to inspire you and have not yet discovered the beauty which I imagine does exist inside us, but I have already started to explore my self and am amazed by what I have found.

Sometimes it's hard to tell what is best thing to do, but the only person who can tell you that is you. Listen to your heart. This world is built on stale principles. I've heard it described that life is like a river, constantly moving, bringing the new constantly, and in a river there is so much life; but today we have created a stagnant, life-less lake, and yet we all are constantly wanting to secure our place in it.

This is why it is so difficult for someone else to tell you what is best, because it is your life, you have to live it yourself, no one else can live it for you. Running away from problems is no good, but waiting until tomorrow to make necessary changes is also no good. The funny thing is though, if you follow your heart, and have faith in the spiritual work toward love and unity, then you will never go wrong. It doesn't matter if you stay or if you go somewhere and start something completely new, if you are following your heart, really trying, then you will always gain a good experience.

"Are you afraid that you might be poor? So what? Be poor!" --J. Krishnamurti

One time in a dream I was talking to a wise lady, and I asked her what I should do regarding my search for a career and also place of residence. She said that's up to me and that it really doesn't matter much.

The internal work can and must take place whether you are here or there, whether you are rich or poor, whether you are black or white, it really doesn't matter, what matters is to always try, we are never alone, no matter what, even when it seems and feels like it, we are not alone.

That's my view on it. Wish you the best. The courses here can help a lot to understand these things, I feel like for me it is good to try to do what is necessary to gain experience and help the movement so that it can continue helping others as it has helped me.

Hi Andrei,

I can relate. I have always had a tendency to want to travel and love when the seasons change because it makes everything feel different. One reason may be that new places and activities can bring us back to the moment and that's a great place to be.

For me, a lot of it may be due to egos just keeping me from being satisfied where I am. I feel like those yearnings have decreased since taking up the spiritual work, come to think of it.

One thing that I like to do is just make things different where I am whenever I need a change. For example, a few weeks ago, I felt really bored with things, so I decided to light incense and listen to some music I hadn't heard in a long time. It made everything feel fresh and new. I felt like I had more energy and happy.

Hi Gabrielle, I can relate. To change things I sometimes go for a long walk taking ways I don't normally take. It usually helps.

Hello Gabrielle,
Hello Jim,

Yes, I can relate to it too, trying a different things instead of the same routine, or just to look how can I do the same thing, but this time differently.

To ask is to learn, to learn is to know, thus knoweledge is the ultimate goal!

In the last few months, I have felt a bit like a flat battery, and when times of energy come along we find it difficult to think otherwise I saw to my Mum at times, when we're happy, it's hard to feel down, when we're down it's hard to feel happy. Our personalities are unique that can alter our way of thinking from being really low in thoughts of death and people shouting at you to feeling and seeing amazing colours and sounds.

It's strange, but sometimes I feel a resistance to change things even though I know it will help. It may be laziness or those egos that like to feel down resisting the change. It's something I'm going to look into more because this seems important to maintaining inner strength.

Jim, I am going to try that when I drive to the store tonight. I always go the same route while there are a few ways to get there. I take the fastest way, on the interstate, which also happens to be the least interesting route in terms of visual stimulation.

Vadim, that sounds interesting. Can you give an example of things you can do in different ways? It will help me to see how to broaden my own activities.

Andrei, I know what you mean about how when things are going well, we feel like they have always been great and vice versa. I wonder why that is. Maybe it is because we get so identified with our current situations...I don't know.

Also, there is a section in the Secret Knowledge Hidden Wisdom book about fighting entropy that can help to inspire this topic. He talks about how entropy can set in when things become static and some ways for dealing with it effectively. Re-reading it can help give you a push if you need one.

Thanks,

Gabrielle

Hi Gabrielle,

Before the practice, besides of my usual prayer to Divine Mother to help me with it, I've tried other prayers just before that, like "Out Father".

For the astral projection practices most of the practices involve concentration, it was interesting for me to try just to be aware and fall asleep in that state when I coudn't concentrate well and was very tired.

With some mantras, I've experimented with a different rythme, like speeding up Gate-Gate when the mind was very active.

etc.

All the best!

Thanks, Vadim. Those are some good examples. I actually have tried one of those before - just getting into a real state of awareness after practicing astral projection for a while. The awareness can be real strong sometimes at that point...maybe because it is night time.

Driving to the store using a different route proved worthwhile. One of the things I noticed was that, because I was using the drive over as a practice, those "rush" egos weren't coming up as much. Often when I get in the car, I feel those egos come up that make me want to rush and drive fast and just get to the destination.

On the drive home, I just took the interstate and noticed that the awareness was not as strong as it was during the drive there.

Thanks for the tips.

Gabrielle, when I think of egos, I tend to visulalise them as the annoying cookies or pop ups we get on our computers. How to banish them is another tricky question. I know when I'm intuned with the world as I don't have any thoughts or pieces of music in my head or even bits of a film I watched the night before, I'm just awareness free of lower emotions...which isn't that often I'm sorry to say.
