Today I was at the local bookstore and picked up a book called The Journey of Souls by Dr. Michael Newton. I found it highly interesting. I read it for an hour straight and could not put it down until I had to leave. It is about him using hypnosis to get his clients to remeber past lives (a la past life regression). He found that he could even get them to recall their life between lives so to speak. It was a very interesting read and hope to soon be able to finish the book and also look into his two other works. I was wondering if anyone here is familiar with any of his work and if so what is your opinion on him? If not a highly recommend at least looking into some of his work. I included an amazon.com link below to the book I was reading today.

Thanks for sharing yours today's find Khafre, I do not know this person, but I have guthered a few questions about hypnosis which I would be graetful to understand one day if god lets me.

I think that scaning the psyche of others without having the authority to do so is wrong and that there are some consequences for such intrusions even if the person who is being hypnotized is in agreement. It is like putting your nose into the private parts of another individual who don't mind if someone does it to him.

There is enough things to look into in our selves, it should come first, before anything else, because by understanding our selves we should be able to undertsand everything else.

Gyorgi, what if the person being hypnotized wants to know for his own good? It could be video taped etc, that's an interesting subject, i wouldn't have thought that you could "remember" ? stuff like that. How would that work?

Hi culebra,

It might be in accordance with divines laws, I do not konw, but I know that a person who lets him self be hypnotized by another person for good reasons, even if the hypnotizer have good intentions as well, finally both of them without knowing can unintentionaly be breaking the divine law.

Take mediums for example, they often have good intentions, but some of the results from their intentionaly good actions have already brought harmful consequences to a lot of people. When you do not know the divine laws, if they have not been revealed to you, it is better to avoid such unknown actions.

" The road to hell is built from good intentions ", which is true in any way, the only difference is from where those intensions are coming from; consciousness or egos?

Micheal Newton's book Destiny of Souls is also excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed both! Fascinating stuff.

I found someone in my area who learned Newton's hypnosis techniques, and I am considering going. Of course, I'd rather discover this stuff on my own and am learning all I can to do so, but I believe this is an excellent shortcut, though I have not personally experienced it yet.

Many years before I even heard about Gnosis I went to a man who did transgression. He was one of the best of the country that time.
I went there for a skin problem (doctors couldn't help).
It was a light hypnosis (American type), and went to previous life's. Still I doubt if it was true, it didn't feel so.
Then he told me to go to higher side of me to ask if this present karma could be released. Of course I said yes:)
The result 2 weeks relief, then it was back.

I guess theres no short-cut for karma, can only get rid of it by finishing our egos, as I know now.
It is the best doctor and cheapest:)
