My mother passed away in April of this year. We hadn't always been close, but over the last couple of years we had an unbreakable bond. A couple of months ago... in September... I was taking an afternoon nap...which is not a common thing for me considering I am a busy mom. During my nap I had a dream... or at least I what could be considered a dream. Within the dream I was in what appeared to be a bathroom in an office building. I wasn't sure what the signifigance of the location was. It wasn't a place I had ever visited before. While in there my cell phone rang. The screen was completely blank so I had no idea who was calling me. I said hello twice before I heard a faint voice say "Jen?". I immediately knew that it was my mother's voice and began to cry. We had a brief conversation about things that were happening in my life and the lives of my sister, brother, and step father. There were other elements of the conversation that I wish not to dissclose because of personal reasons. She told me things that I had no knowledge of at the time, but have since made perfect sense to me. As her voice began to fade out,we closed the conversation with our standard "I love you's" and "goodbyes". I woke to my cell phone ringing... which was ironic. When I woke, though, I didn't have the slow motion syndrome of having to take a few minutes to get myself prepared to roll off the bed. I woke up with a jolt of energy which could have easily been explained by the power nap. I can't help but wonder. though, was my experience a mere dream... or did I really experience a visitation from my mother. I've always known that it is sometimes easier for our deceased loved ones to contact us in dream states. I myself believe that it was indeed a visit from my mother. It had to be.. it was too real not to be. I am very curious to hear comments or like stories. I have some other experiences that I feel were the product of my mother, but I wanted to start with this story and see if anyone else has experienced something like it as well.......

Hi Jen,

I'm sorry to hear of your mom passing away.

The experiences we can have in dreams are quite personal so you would be the best one to know what was really going on. Though I think, in your heart, you already know whether it was your mom.

I haven't personally experienced visitations from deceased relatives in my dreams (at least none that I recall), but I don't see why it couldn't happen. Our dreams take place in the astral plane of the fifth dimension and sometimes in our dreams we can experience the reality of that dimension instead of just ordinary dream images generated by our subconscious. And apparently the astral plane is the first place we go when we die.

That's my understanding on it.

Best wishes,

Mike

Hello Jen,

I have experienced a few dreams where deceased relatives or just people I knew came to visit me and I believe for the purpose of teaching me something. Whether it was them or not, such dreams always helped me to become aware of things I was not aware before, and I am thankful to whoever it was. For all I know maybe through them god helps those who ask for it.

I let my intuition tell me who they are because intellectualy it is impossible to understand such things. If the essence of each being is immortal, then it is very possible that it visits us in dreams.

Hi Jen,

It's really beautiful that you grew so close during her last few years :) That sounds like a wonderful experience you had in the dream. Sometimes, the experiences we have in dreams can be even more impactful and special than those we have when awake. I agree with what's been said, it sounds like your intuition is telling you the nature of the dream.

Take care,

Gabrielle
