Make Yourself at Home for a Few Days

A stunning mansion set in the Brecon Beacons National Park, surrounded by the beauty of mountains and over-looking the River Usk, Buckland Hall provides a mystical space for personal transformation.

Buckland Hall is a luxurious and authentic manor house, complete with acres of parkland pastures and protected forests and riverbanks. From the times of legendary Arthur, through to the medieval era when it was owned by a Prince of Wales, to the days of Lord Buckland himself, the site has been home to generations of families, with the present mansion thought to have been built in the early 1600’s. The building retains many of its original characteristics: a grand hall, large fireplaces, walls decorated with murals, a library, and grand lounges with windows looking out over the valley. Magnificent views and utter tranquility await you.

From the moment you first enter the long tree-lined drive you are embraced within the peace and quiet of nature. You'll glimpse the shimmering water of rivers. The ornamental lake with its graceful swans is a particular haven of harmony. By the time you reach the mansion you may notice that you’re already feeling both alert and relaxed as you take in the fresh air, hearing birdsong and the rustle of trees gently swaying in the breeze. Some of the specimen trees in the arboretum are over 400 years old. There are ample points of vantage to view local wildlife and soak in the mountain wilderness. Beauty and diversity abound with abundant opportunities to view nature up close.

Romans, native Princes, Saxons, and Normans have all poured across this historic land. Now the mansion’s open doors welcome you to experience the comfort and therapeutic majesty of this idyllic setting. Buckland Hall, your home during this fabulous retreat getaway, is the perfect retreat sanctuary – ideal for making powerful connections within yourself, with nature, and with new found friends.
