Religion is based upon belief, I am here for knowledge.
I consider religious studies to have possible truths within them, but if they are unprovable, as far as I can see they are a waste of my time, because there are so many different religions, who's to say which is the "right" one, if they are based upon belief alone?
That is why I resonate with Gnosis, we are not asked to blindly believe, rather the total opposite, to experience and know, I therefore put forth my efforts in hope to experience that which was once a belief, thereby converting it into knowledge.
I am not anti-religion, rather see no useful purpose in it if it asks me to blindly believe

Most people will incorrectly define religion.
To find the divinity inside oneself and not in an external entity separate from oneself is the hardest thing I've ever had to do by far.
When the self generated egos are stronger than the will to overcome them, this work is even harder.
In my opinion then, true religion and finding it is a near impossible thing for most people to even comprehend, let alone carry out.

Hi Megan,
My personal feeling now is that what matters most in life and in spiritual development is being able to experience the truth. Exercises like astral projection give experiences in dimensions beyond this physical where we can see more of what's really going on in life; exercises like awareness and self-observation shed light on what happens within us psychologically and help to get more in touch with who we really are.
Unfortunately, in the experiences I've had with religions these days and in hearing stories from many people who are dedicated to organized religions, the whole aspect of experience (at least in any real, profound sense) is missing - belief and complete dedication to the religion replace experience.
However, just because that's how these religions are nowadays doesn't mean they have always been like that. At one point, the religions were all apparently based upon experience. Further to this, religious texts apparently have deep symbolic significance that we can start to understand as our intuition develops. I personally enjoy reading religious scriptures (from all different religions) and sometimes I get a lot out of them. But that's still different to actually following a modern religion.
That's my opinion.
Best wishes!

Well I don't belive there is a right religion since everyone will say their religion is the best.My thinking on religions is that its only a tool for a men\women to be stronger from inside. We all prey well at least some of us to someone they belive in altough there is no real true god,i belive in a cosmic force and i belive things happen as they should happen but you can't say he is god since someone created him as well!!!
