I don't intend to bash any religion, but I think when we talk about Jesus, we know he was truly an enlighted person, a true prophet with great teachings from mankind. The same we can say from Budha and Induist teachings.

However by reading the Quoran and historical facts, etc. I concluded that Muhammad was an ordinary guy who self proclaimed himself prophet and thus created a new religion with not very bright teachings as the teachings in the Quaran are contradictory, superstitional, superficial, etc.

What are your views on this?

Why does it matter to you? Would it do any difference if he was a true prophet?

Any intellectually based conclusion is the end of a possible begining. Please, look into it.

What difference does it make to us if we know or not know something about someone, but do not know much about our selves?

Yes I read it, and it seems to me that is just people (including Samael) sticking to some good accounts mentioned in the Quaran in order to be politically correct by showing something good on it.

I have nothing against any religion, but I always want to find the truth, and I haven't found it in the Quaran, like has anyone seen Muhammad in the astral?, peopole has seen Jesus, and some advanced students say they have seen his life through AP and that is amazing and that he's a real prophet.

But has anyone proven the same about Muhammad?

It's right that you should be allowed to have your own belief. In an islamic country however you would be arrested for saying this, and that's if you are lucky. I think this is wrong, but sadly people have been persecuted for thier beliefs throughout history.

I've heard of people seeing Jesus in the astral plane, many believe he is a master spirit guide. In the astral plane one apparently sees what one thinks about, or sometimes an interpretation of something around the persons knowledge of the universe. I would want to see the evidence myself before believing and would want to see evidence more than just seeing Jesus. I'm not saying he isn't there, he maybe, I hope to find out.

Muhammad maybe there, again I cannot say, has anyone tried to look for him? If so they may find him, but again one has to be careful not to misinterpret what one sees. I would want more evidence.

The way I understand it, gnosticism is not a religion, and therefore they can't say a religion is false.
They only give you reading material and secret teachings for you to find the truth by yourself, and so many things can be verified.

The teachings that gnosticism makes available to gnosis students are based on christianity, judaism, induism and budhism. And all this makes sense to me.
I have read a lot about different religions and would say that while there are some good teachings in the Quran, these teachings are basically a copy & paste from other religions, and not new and original teachings.
Plus Muhammad as a true prophet is questionable. From what I read in the Quran, hadith, and historical sources, seems that Muhammad was making up the messages from angel Gabriel.
By using my logic and intuition, many things comming from the Quran and Muhammad's behaviour let me conclude that he was a flase prophet.

Same question goes, has anyone seen Muhammad as a good master in the astral?

hello foxtse,

What exactly is the defenition of 'prophet'? What is the experience of being one like? Is it a chosen one to speak and teach the turth according with the divine law? What is the truth anyway? Do we know the whole truth right now that we can make conclusions? Can we judge if someone is or is not if we don't even know what this person is experiencing or experienced themselves?

On my opinion, I guess making conclusions about something so distant, someone we don't even know, just by reading books or hearing what others have to say about such person. Nevertheless, questioning really helps, it brings the investigative enthusiasm, and move us to really search for things. My advice is to never make a permanent conclusion about anything, keep searching. On a wider perspective, it would be interesting to look into any permanent conclusions that we may have already that might be blocking us to really investigate things.

about Gnosticism. i'm new to it here guys., so could be wrong, :-). but i'd thought that fo rone it pre-dated Christianity, and in fact, all religions were but aspects of it.

i can't really say much about other religions, but with Islam, when one becomes a muslim, and has suddenely a billion brothers & sisters worldwide, who, according to their reilgion, are to assist a fellow muslim in time of need, is something that i find lacking in other religions. it's hardly surprising that some view similarities between Islam and Christianity. after all , Islam , Christianity, and Judaism follow the same God. The Holy Qu'ran holds Jesus in high regard, and mentions other well known folks also. Islam can't be blamed for Christianity not recoqnising the prophet Muhammad (PBUH). ergo, not Islam's fault similarities may be seen by some to exist. :-) .

what is it maiing you say that according to the religious scirptures you mentioned, that the prophet was maing things up?

The best way to do is to ask our divine mother or spirtiual guides the truth about Quran and Muhammad.
You won't go wrong here. Or we can go to the Hall of Records or Arkashic records (I hope spelling is correct) and travel back in time in Muhammad''s age and observe how he got his information in the Quran and from who. If I understand, anything that has happened in the past is all recorded.

Hi foxtse,
Since this thread has been reactivated, I'd like to tell you what I know.

I took a course in college called The Rise of Islam. Muhammed was a merchant in the city of Medina. He was married to Khadija originally, whose brother was involved with the church. Muhammed's merchandise kept getting stolen by the tribes that would attack merchants along the China Silk Road. To stop this, Muhammed came up with this religion to unite the people of the Arabic steppes region & get them out of the tribal mentality and live as a unified people. He consulted Khadija's brother (thus the clue to why the mish mash of other religious doctrines in his writings) to come up with a doctrine for this new religion.

After I learned this, I realized that it was not a divinely inspired religion, but a financially inspired religion. Also, you can take into account that he was having sex all over the place with many women and at least one 9 year old girl (Ayisha) who became his wife at 6 years old (but he kindly waited until she was 9 to actually penetrate her). Taking this into account, I doubt he was a divinely inspired individual.

Hi Foxtse,

Simlarly to Dusty, I've learned some things about prophet Mohamed from the university course.
Also I've read different books referring to him and Sufi stories which I like so much.

From what I've learned, I find that there is a lot of controvercy around him and his teachings, especially now, and both sides have their own "proofs" and "evidence", but what's a real evidence, and how much of it is enough?

Like you mentioned, meeting him in the astral plane or like FIIGO mentioned, investigating Akashic records could be a great way to find out the truth.
However, this proof and this type of evidence is possible only with personal efforts and it would remain only personal.

In my opinion, it's up to each person to verify what kind of proof and evidence is enough for them and to find it, if they are interested.
