A Ghoulish Beginning to London's Lectures

Yesterday we kicked off with London's course in Dreams and Out-of-Body Experiences. We had found a really nice venue for the courses - peaceful, quaint and charming, tucked away in a quiet corner of the city's busy streets. It was tidy, spacious and with a great outdoor seating area for tea and refreshments after the class.

With the help of Jo, Tsehay, Marc and Jared we dropped leaflets in shops, cafes and restaurants from Piccadilly Circus to Camden Town and from Notting Hill to London Bridge on the bustling banks of the Thames, and everwhere in between. We received many calls and emails from interested people and by the weekend we were set to begin.

But.... what happened next we did not anticipate.

As we arrived at the venue and walked towards our 'quaint and charming' room, everything had changed. We were greeted at the door by a group of shadowy figures and glaring pairs of eyes, and as we walked through, skeletons, witches, ghouls and goblins stared at us from every corner of the room!.... and .... a big Happy Halloween sign on the back wall.

We had a short amount of time to set up the room before the course began, and now we had to get to work to remove the ghouls and goblins from the walls and doors before everyone came. So we wrestled with skeletons and apprehended the witches, banishing them from the room, and when I started the lecture all was back to normal and no-one new of what had prevailed.

We had a good turn out with around 40 people. They were a friendly group with a genuine enthusiasm to learn about out-of-body experiences and dreams. After the class everyone stayed for a cup of tea, a bite to eat and a chat. It was a good start to the course and we look forward to the remaining weeks... ghoul and goblin free!

A big thanks from me and Jo to Marc, Tsehay and Jared for all your hard work and help on the day.
