I read it, is it really written by Judas?, I know I should verify it myself but I am far from ateining that level of Astral travel right now, what does your experience tell you?. The gospel has some description of heaven and the creation of angels, that seem something Judas could not invent out of his imagination. I found this to be quite amazing. And then it comes to the plot, in which according to Judas, Jesus told him to betray him. This doesn't make much sense to me, seems like something Judas would invent to end up as a hero. The previous story of Judas betraying Jesus out of greed seems more reasonable, Judas the traitor seems more reasonable. |

As far as my understanding goes (which I have not verified either in the Astral, so it is purely theoretical) the reason Jesus told Judas to betray him was that they could demonstrate to the people the path of darkness (egos) as opposed to the path of light (consciousness). If there is just light without darkness, the light cannot be known as there is nothing other than light. But against the contrast of darkness, the light can be known. Jesus asked Judas to betray him so that they could clearly demonstrate to the people the path of light.
As to whether it was actually written by Judas and the validity of it, this is something that will only be known through direct experience as you say. Even if someone else was able to share their own experience of this, you still wouldn’t ‘know’ for yourself unless you actually investigated and experienced it for yourself.
Strength to everyone!

Hello guys,
There is something to retain from this gospel the most without intellectualizing it further - it is to be aware of those actions when we betray the son of god inside of us.

Ahoy!
Foxtse, regarding the origin of the Gospel of Judas; to my understanding, Gnostic manuscripts date to the early second and third centuries (including the Gospel of Judas) and thus most of them (all?) would have been written by “a third person” – a scribe, not by the disciples. Even when we look at the bible, the oldest manuscript containing the whole bible - The Codex Vatican - dates back “only” to 340AD.
I also agree with Amy and Gyorgi; there is a teaching in this gospel and to me it gives us an opportunity to question old believes and to deeply reflect on our daily thoughts and actions.
May the Force be with you!
