The New Toronto Centre Location - Round 7

Hi All,

Here's a weekly update on the renovations here in Toronto. Time is running out as the courses are set to begin this Sunday; but, all will be completed by then.

See pics below,

Ruben and Stas put up some shelves in the café area. I'll try and get a shot of the entire cafe for next blog; you can only see a little bit of it here...

Dara works on the arduous task of removing paint from the floors. It's a wonder that paint always manages to get on the floors even with all the drop sheets in place!

Stas emerges from the back hallway and practice rooms after some intense sanding.

Stas and I begin to prime the ceiling in the back hallway

This one's for Andy... here's a very behind-the-scenes look at a video shoot. We had to take time out from all the work at the Centre to shoot a short video-interview that will hopefully be part of a new series of videos up on the site sooner than later...

Stas walks through the freshly-painted back hallway as he gets ready to finish up the sanding in the meditation room to your left. The other senior practice room is on the right. Finishing up the flooring in the hallway, as well as painting the ceiling, walls, and carpeting in the practice rooms are the major tasks still at hand...

Stas gives you a sneak peak of the Meditation room. After having been de-tiled, sanded, and plastered/spakled, it now needs to be primed, painted, and carpeted.

Here's a picture of the front entrance from the inside. Today we were playing around a bit with different possibilities for the curtains. To your right you have the moveable coat hanger, as well as Adam manning the registration counter. Not seen in pic is Jenny working on sewing some new curtains. Straight ahead are Olga and Dara, inviting you to come by for a nice cup of coffee in the café on your left. Inside the café - looks like you'll have to come and see to find out :-)...

Here's a shot from the back of the main room.

Adam inspects the new dividers for the café area. Dara works on touch-ups in the hallway at the back.
