Your Experiences
The Great Outdoors, Indoors

Visualization has proven to me to have many benefits, in particular helping me to get more in touch with my spiritual side.
One night, I chose to visualize myself within a forest as I went to sleep as a method to have an out-of-body experience. While I didn’t have an OBE, the overall visualization was amazing and my dreams that night were incredibly clear and easy to remember.
Through imagination and visualization, I placed myself in a vast forest. Tall trees surrounded me, the natural smell of the soil and vegetation in the forest filled my lungs, and the chirping of birds and chattering of chipmunks and squirrels serenaded me as I walked across the soft trails. I found great peace being in nature, walking about in the woods.
After I’d been walking for a while, the sky clouded over and there was a storm; but, having nowhere important to rush off to, I was able to enjoy the rain pouring down upon me, to be refreshed by the winds of the storm and to admire the great thunder and lightning of Mother Nature. All the while I continued to meander farther into the forest and eventually discovered a cliff. I sat near the cliff edge and waited for the storm to pass…
Within moments the thunderstorm came to an end and the clouds vanished from the sky, leaving the sun visible again. By now it was nearing the horizon for sunset. I sat to enjoy the view. The cliff towered above more forest far, far below and off into the distance it overlooked an ocean and snow peaked mountains beyond that. The view was truly awe-inspiring.
Way up in the sky I could see great eagles soaring. I remained at my spot and was soon joined by beautiful little birds that sang sweetly and perched on my fingertips when I held out my hands. Other wildlife also came by – I was able to pet a few squirrels and even feed them with some peanuts in my backpack. Some deer were nearby, but they still kept their distance, being a little timid.
By now the sun was almost set and it was getting a little chilly. I ventured back from the cliff into the forest where I saw an inviting light a short distance ahead. It was a fire. A nice warm fire. I wasn’t sure who had prepared it or how – since it had been so rainy – but of course that wasn’t important since in this forest I could imagine anything was possible… just like how there were no mosquitoes…
I found a nice, comfortable spot by the fire and curled up there, gazing into what was a beautiful, clear sky. I admired the stars and the enchanting full moon while I listened to the fire crackle soothingly nearby. And there I let myself rest and fall asleep. It had been a long, yet magical journey.
