Transformation Wk11
The transformers ...

Painting the cafe area cream over grey. This cream needed three coats. The kitchen feels a lot warmer now.
The grey can be seen in the top beam.

Dave chiselling away at the sprayed concrete to reveal the original sandstone.

Rich finds a loose screw.

Decides to fix it instead of play with it.

Cheryl patiently getting the details.

Testing some plants and layouts in the new communal area.

Group shot.

Sue getting the awkward areas above the cupboards.

John revealing the sandstone.

Dave chiselling.

Rich fixing the buckled floor boards on the balcony.

Painting the fixed floor boards which now lie flat.

Shots of inside .. soon to be repainted.

Mark sanding the plaster filled areas.

Lorraine and John platering all over the place - just the spots that need it.

Colm getting the high bits.

Nice cream walls in the cafe/kitchen.

Rich carressing and talking nicely to the bamboo which he saved from near death.

Dave chiselling revealing the sandstone.

Rich painting the end of the floor boards.

John applying a coat of stuff to stop the rising damp in this area.

Girls preparing lunch and filling some more bean bags made by Cheryl.

Main practice room with plaster filler drying.

Ceiling boards on the balcony get the same lime green as the pillars.

Time is an illusion ..... lunch time doubly so.

New donated terra cota Buddha. Very nice ... put near the enterance door.

Third coat begins.

Lorraine sanding the filler.

Balcony ceiling complete.

Green added above door, which was repainted all green during the week.

Testing the new colours in the hallway.

We had the pleasure of Mark arriving to help us today. Mark had attended the first three courses we offer and went away for 9 months and returned only two weeks ago. He came around to pick up his copy of 'Hidden Knowledge, Secret Wisdom' which has been waiting for him for nine months. Whilst collecting the book, he saw all the work going on and offered to come back and help out. Thanks a lot Mark, your enthusiastic help was much appreciated. :-)

Still testing the colours.

Well done again Shane, the
Well done again Shane, the pictures look great!
I've noticed you've managed to capture another great shot of David in the most unsual position. He looks like a gecko stuck to the wall upstairs with a paint brush in his hand .
I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank the Bondi crew for all your hard efforts and commitments, over the last 11 weeks.
Always inspiring
Always inspiring stuff.
Thanks!

Hi Shane and the rest of the Bondi crew,
I think the work you are doing is fantastic! You've inspired all sorts of ideas for us while we're doing our renovations too...
I have a question - was the stained glass there when you originally rented or is it something you put in yourselves?
Jordan
Nice pics and great work
Nice pics and great work guys!
Well done with the blog
Well done with the blog Shane. Plenty of photos there for all to see.
The stain glass windows have always been there.
I'm a little concerned that there is a few photos of myself just standing idle, Shane. I might have to look into that one.
Mark.

Massive work!!
I got home exhausted :)
I didn't get a chance to see what was going on upstairs because I was downstairs painting in the kitchen most of the time. Thanks for the photos Shane.
And thanks to Larraine and Cheryl for the yummie wraps and to Daya for the delicious soup that we had for lunch. The new cafe in the garage is great!
John, when I'm not playing
John, when I'm not playing Frodo, I'm actually Spiderman. Yes, the greatest battle lies within. To keep going to reach those tricky fidly little spots or just to shrug the shoulders and say "who's going to notice?" That was a constant question yesterday that kept coming up for me.
I think I'm going to miss all this renovation work once its all done.
It certainly has been a great team building exercise all round.
Looks like you guys had a
