Your Experiences

A Silent Connection

When doing meditation practices, I often learn a lot about my mind. I see how it works and how thoughts work. Many times I get to a point where my mind goes completely silent for a moment. It is a very nice, very peaceful feeling, but most times it doesn't last too long before another thought comes in.

One evening I did a meditation practice and got further into it. I was working at silencing my mind and I was able to achieve longer periods of silence between thoughts. The thoughts became fewer and fewer, and the silence grew longer and longer. Then I started to experience this kind of rushing sensation and I started to feel like I was very far away from my body, but at the same time more present inside of myself than I ever have been. It was a very new feeling. It was very peaceful and I felt very connected with a real, spiritual part of myself. Slowly, thoughts started popping up and I lost the experience.

It was a really great experience. I had never felt or experienced anything like that before. It was so nice to actually feel a real sense of peace and happiness, and a feeling of being connected and present with something real inside of me.
