Your Experiences
Listening with the Heart

Several years ago, when I was 16 years old, I began to feel a great pain and suffering within for so many reasons. I didn’t know what it was all about. I was looking into myself with fears and worries all the time. I tried everything from an external point of view to bring relief within. I went to the doctor several times to find out what these mysterious pains were, with no results. I tried exhaustive sports for many years to relieve this suffering, without solving the problem. I drank alcohol to turn down the mental pressure that was incessantly attacking me. It worked for a moment; I could finally smile again, but as soon as the effects had vanished, I was the same again.
I began to figure out that the only way I could understand all this, was to sit down and meditate. So I did. I began to investigate what meditation was and how it worked, for several weeks. After several hours of practice, I finally succeeded in finding this state of peace within that I deeply knew I could achieve.
So that night, I put all my will into reaching a state where I could finally be myself. After one hour and a half of intensive meditation, I was in a great and indescribable infinite space with all kind of lights. I felt like I was a “sheet of paper”: extremely thin, light and flying in the air. The peace generated within was marvellous and finally I discovered what meditation was for. It opened up my eyes to a new world of opportunities. I was not the same and I knew that I had just found a way to grow within. In this state, there are ceaseless answers that come and you just have to listen with your heart. Since that time, I continue to investigate how this works and I always try to improve the way I do it.
